I'm really pleased with this alarm clock radio. I've been searching for a long time for one that has high quality sound and a few features. Favorite thing by far: I can go to sleep to music at a very soft level and awake to the same radio station as loud as I want. Imagine that! Also like being able to have station pre-sets.
A fun feature is the ability to change the brightness of the clock display. Very slick implementation.
Overall, it's more than I expected, and I feel utterly spoiled for a small price tag. Wheee!

Got this for the office area and have had it for about 6 months. Works and looks fine. 5 preset tuning buttons, and dual alarm. Helpful to have option to dim or brighten the clock light. Matte finish tends to discolor over time. The "audio in" button is oddly right next to the volume control, which you keep hitting when reaching for volumne. Of all the ones seen and reviewed, this one faired best in terms of functionality and design.

I have ben looking for a clock radio with a CD player for long time. The radio stations that are available in my area don't play the kind of music that I prefer and I'm tired of waking up to "talk Radio" - even if it's Public Radio.
I was almost tempted to clean out my "piggy bank" to buy the Bose radio, since that was the only one that I knew of that had the CD function - but couldn't spare that much change.
And then I found this Sony on the Amazon website and began reading the specs. I must admit, I was VERY sceptical of the audio quality when I learned it had only 2" speakers. What kind of audio quality can a 2" speaker deliver I thought. But I own other Sony products and they perform very well. And then I started to read the reviews that have been posted. I decided to place my order. AND I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPOINTED!! The audio quality is very good for a table model radio. Now admitedly, it's not as good as the two Boston Acoustic tower speakers that comprise my home theater system. But then it's a table radio!!
And there's more good features: I was delighted to find the blue night light feature. It really casts a nice glow in my bedroom. The CD shuffle play feature works like a charm. The ability to go to sleep with the volume set rather low and still be awakened by music loud enogh to actualy wake me was a feature I hadn't counted on. And I was really surprised to find that it KNEW all about Daylight Saving Time and set itself ahead one hour with out my doing anything.
For the price, I'm very happy with my new Sony. It's a pleasur to wake up to the music of MY choice!!!

Very pleased with unit. Good reception on AM/FM, CD is fine. Sound quality is OK for a clock radio. It is not a HiFi unit, nor is it advertised as such.
