 Great for furry critters July 24, 2008
I have two indoor cats and two lab retrievers. I bought this to use on all my pets, and it works amazingly (although you really need the larger size to be efficient on bigger dogs). You definitely need to be in a confined area where you can manage the huge amounts of fur, because there is a TON, every time you use it. I wouldn't use it more than twice weekly, because it does seem to get right down to their skin, and if you push too hard or run the brush over the same area too many times it could irritate them. Great product, well worth the money.

Removes a lot of hair; must be used VERY gently; not easy to control with a wriggling puppy; takes time to master; best used outdoors, if possible

I love our Furminator. I have a golden doodle, so I was a bit pessimistic about how it would get through her massive fur. But it's awesome. For the first time in almost 4 years, we aren't covered in fur. Love it. Get it.

Every time I see that infomercial or huge success story product I immediately become skeptical. When I first saw Furminator, I doubted its excellence. But with my dog's hair being found everywhere, I was desperate. I tried the Furminator as soon as it came and was awe-struck. Not only did it take away the amount of fur shown in the photos, but Sophie (my black lab) loved it.
My house is now much tidier thanks to the furminator!

The furminator is exactly what I needed to remove the undercoat from my golden retriever. I looked for years and purchased all kinds of torture tools that didn't really work before finding the furminator. Fun name for a great product!
