 Underarms and chin are smooth! August 30, 2008
Wow, I've had this for less than a week and I have lovely smooth underarms (ouch, ouch, ouch) for the first time in many years. My legs are pretty smooth, but haven't grown out enough yet, but I can shave my underarms and in two hours have a "five oclock shadow". Allowing two days growth, I tried this last night (it took about three different times) and now, I should be able to go bare for the rest of the season. My legs didn't hurt much, but I don't have the density there that I do under my arms, and the two days growth isn't enough for a leg test yet.
Since the calf area really didn't hurt, I was thinking maybe it was just cutting the hairs, but when you remove the cover, you can see all the little hairs which have been ripped out by the roots! Yucky, but gratifying.
If you've waxed before, you will find this to be a boon. It works on those pesky little chin hairs that crop up after ladies reach 35 or so, and I thought that would be a daily job for the rest of my life!
Take a couple of pain relievers an hour before hand and maybe apply some ice for a few minutes if you are really sensitive. It is a great product and I'll be recommending it to my friends.

This is a good product. It hurt like crazy the first time. I had to have someone else do it for me. And, for about two weeks my legs looked awful (ingrown hairs, red bumps), but now I use it twice a week and no problems. It has helped me a lot because shaving was hard for my sensitive skin.

I know I am not the first to say this but expect pain--real pain. I have a very high tolerance for pain but I still had to do my legs over several sessions. Since the first time the pain is less but I still don't usually finish both legs in one sitting. I have a baby and it just takes too long to do a good job, plus after a few minutes I need a break from the noise, it is a loud little machine! I wish I could use it on just battery power or that it had a longer cord but other than that I highly recommend to those willing to take the pain. Side note, I have used it on my belly and husbands feet neither hurt like the calfs of my legs. Don't expect your legs to feel they way they do after a great razer but reduces appearance of "5 o'clock" shadow which I have on my legs and much less regrowth.

I wanted to buy an epilator for my legs. I got this after reading all the reviews.
It doesn't hurt much, but it takes a long time to take out the hair. I had to go very slowly over each spot to make sure all the hair is gone. Since I'm Asian, I have relatively thin leg hair. It breaks off my hairs instead of plucking it out. Because of that, the hair grows back in a couple of days. So I don't recommend it for those with relatively thin leg hair. It is also very noisy.
