 GRAY MARKET AND NO WARRANTY August 21, 2008
My daughter loves the iron but the GFCI switch on the plug won't stay clicked. This means the iron won't work and is useless.
Now I find Amazon is selling gray market products with no manufacturer's warranty. Come on Amazon, I expect better than selling products with no warranty. I expect warranty issues from the fly-by-night vendors on the internet, but not Amazon. Do the right thing and look after your customers.

We found out the hard way that the manufacturers warranty is void on this product if purchased on-line. My wife's failed after approx. (4) months. Amazon's return policy is 90 days and to their credit they did make an exception but we learned a valuable lesson. NEVER PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT ON LINE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO ACCEPT THE RISK!

I bought this flat iron in May and it has since stopped working. I called Amazon and they only have a 30 day return policy. I called Farouk and they told me that Amazon is not allowed to sell their products and told me there is nothing they can do. Do not waste your money on this.

I had heard from many hairdressers (including my best friend) that Chi makes the best flat iron on the market and so far, I agree. It arrived promptly and worked like a charm. It heats up very quickly and doesn't feel like it's burning my hair with too much heat. The cord is really, really long and it works really well with my short hair. I highly recommend it to others.
