Great product! March 19, 2010 S. Heath (St. Clair Shores, MI) The biggest advantage I can say about these earplugs <[...]> is that they are very convenient. To reuse and wash (I normally dip them in the water, but its best to read the directions) and slip in the ear, plus I am not sure if anyone finds a carrying case important but the container it comes with is super handy for me in my gym bag. On the flip side I am confused as to which would be better for water and swim use when I compare these to the company's silicone earplugs. You can't buy them from their site, but you can from Amazon and I found a decent revision: [...] .
Block Enough Sound to Use with SwiMP3 Player February 27, 2010 SanjeevP (Michigan, USA) These are soft, comfortable and reasonably priced ear plugs which are meant to keep water out of your ears but you can also use them to block some sound. They block enough sound that I can use them with FINIS SwiMP3.1G Waterproof MP3 Player, which conducts sound through the bone instead of the air. SwiMP3 player works very well under the water but to hear music or sound over the water, you have to wear ear plugs. Mack's Aquablock Eaplugs block enough sound coming from the air that I am able to hear MP3 podcasts and music with SwiMP3 player outside the water. They float on the water so you can spot them if they come out of the ears.
The negatives of these earplugs are that there is no cord to attach the two ear plugs and keep them together so you do not lose them ( like Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs (White with Red Stem), the plastic storage box does not have holes to drain water and is rather big. But they are soft and snug in the ears.
I wish they had an extra ring - February 10, 2010 Carlos Salinas 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased these to replace an old pair of Speedo swimming ear plugs -
Description -
They really look like the pictures and they are soft but not too soft - they have 3 rings(?) -
The Pros -
- Easy in , although it took me a while to get used to having to pull my ear up to let them in
- comfortable , no ear irritation
- easy out , easier if you twist them a little bit before pulling
- they seem to stay in the same position for the duration of a 45 min swim
The Cons
- sometimes they let a little air in and you would hear a funny popping noise everytime the head goes in the water
The use -
I use them 3-4 times / week for around 45 min and they keep the form and seal just fine for that duration - I have not notice any degradation on the material during the 1 month I have been using them -
I wish ...
I wish they had an extra ring , 4 instead of 3
overall a great Product - :) happy with them
Perfect, tight fit that won't let water in! February 1, 2010 Caitlin Schultz (Minnesota, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I never had a problem with water plugging up my ears until this past summer. On two occasions, I went swimming and got water in my ears, which plugged them up for up to two days after. Since I was going on vacation for a week, and knew I'd be swimming and snorkeling in both pools and the ocean, I wanted to make sure I would have something to prevent water from getting in my ears. After browsing Amazon for a while, I decided to try these, as they seemed to have the best ratings and reviews.
I was not disappointed.
All of last week, I was swimming and snorkeling, and each time, I wore these AquaBlock earplugs. Not a drop of water got in my ears, and I was able to swim without suffering from plugged ears for days afterward. I was extremely pleased! Not only that, but the earplugs are extremely easy to insert and remove, and are very comfortable. They also provide an extra pair (in case you're like me and tend to lost things), and come in a clear plastic container so that they stay clean and in tact and don't get lost in your bag.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of earplugs for swimming or bathing.
First pair of water earplugs January 10, 2010 F. J. Kumosz (Racine, WI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are my first pair of swimming earplugs I have ever tried, but I'm glad I did. I always seem to get water in my inner ear every time I swim, but after using them for a month I haven't had any problems. First let me say, these seal fine just barely sitting into the ear. The first time I tried using them though, I had a scary problem with getting one out of my ear. It probably was a combination of things: I was thinking they should feel more like earplugs for noise(but they do not, I can barely feel them), my hands were wet, and I probably had them a little too deep to begin with. Anyway, when I went to grab them to take them out, I had accidently pushed it a little further into my ear and I couldn't pull it out of my ear. I had to ask a nice woman with fingernails to assist me. Since then I barely sit them into my ear, give em a little twist to make sure they seal, and I haven't had a problem with them falling out or letting water in my ear.
