| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The world's most famous melting cheese, Raclette is made in the Alps on both sides of the French-Swiss border. The French version is perhaps a bit softer than Swiss Raclette, but the two taste very similar. Raclette has a semi-soft interior dotted with small holes and a rosy inedible rind. Eaten as a table cheese, Raclette has a smooth, creamy taste that is neither too salty nor sharp. However, our French Raclette tends to have a strong, pungent aroma that is not for the timid. This cheese is traditionally melted (a half wheel is placed in a fireplace, then the melted top surface is continuously scraped off) and layered atop boiled potatoes, pickles, fresh vegetables and sliced meats. Check out our recipes and try it for yourself! - Made from pasteurized cow's milk.

- We cut and wrap this item by the pound.

| Customer Reviews: Perfect for Raclette grill March 10, 2009 Minda S. Goldsmith (Lumberton, NC) This cheese is delicious and perfect for use on your raclette grill. It melts easily and has outstanding flavor.
Great except for the price May 4, 2008 Ann (Athens Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After 34 years in Europe, we were looking for a good source of Raclette cheese back here in the U.S. Since we don't live near big cities, we went with the igourmet product. It was great, came quickly in a nifty styrofoam container and we enjoyed it. However, the shipping cost is quite high. We had an option to buy in bulk, but Raclette doesn't freeze well and you can only eat this so many times in a season.

I got this cheese in a hurry for a special celebration since I could not get it locally. It's excellent raclette cheese but shipping is expensive.
