This was my first background stand. I thought it was a great deal because it comes with the cloths. The cloths are a little sheer, but they were so long I was able to double them over. One problem is that the cloths were very wrinkled (it's the type of material), I have not steamed them yet and I don't have the room to leave them laid out (you would have to be careful with an iron on this material - its thin and lightweight). There is no label identifying the type of material - I've seen this material previously in white on a 100' foot roll 3' wide as a disposable isle runner (in a wedding). In the picture it looks like the cloths have a sleeve in the top to slide the support bar through, it does not, you have to hang it over the bar. I've hung a savage background role 78" x 36' on the support, this fits well and it could have gone much wider. The quality seem to be good, the legs were pretty wide and stable (though I did not extend it to its fullest length). This is my first unit I have ever worked with, so I don't have anything to compare it with. I like the bag and its portability, though you will not be able to carry any background material in the bag. The vertical support bars have springs in them, though I'm not sure of the purpose of the springs, they are only affective when it is mostly collapsed (3" to 4")(I guess they help by extending the pole enough to have space to grab the pole for setup). If you are going to buy or make your own backgrounds, you are probably better off buying just a portable background stand without the cloths. If you have no backgrounds then this is good to give you something to practice with (having 4 different colors).
