Great Quality Airbed October 6, 2008 I bought this aerobed for my temporary Boston sublet. I sleep on it 4 nights/week and find it very comfortable. There are only a few minor things that bother me about all airbeds, and this one is no exception. First, they smell like vinyl. You need to air out your bedroom every day. Second, on cold nights, the bed gets cold which makes you very cold. I'm going to look for an electric bed warmer to keep it from getting cold. Finally, the bed does lose air but not much. I only need to add a small amount of air once a week. Keep in mind though, all airbeds lose air.
My queen sheets fit perfectly, the bed height is fine, the quality of this product is very good. We have used other brands over the years and my wife and I agree that we would buy this product again.
AeroBed Premier Comfort Zone Raised Queen Air Mattress September 30, 2008 We've only used this mattress once. It worked well for one of our guests. The only issue we had was the need to refill the mattress with a few seconds of air once each night, as it seems to slowly lose pressure with someone on the bed. Setup was quick and easy. It is a small inconvenience to have to hold down the inflation button on the pump while the bed fills, but it fills quickly. When we took down the mattress, I expected releasing the air to be more of a chore, but it was totally empty within a few seconds. Rolled up nicely and fit into the enclosed storage bag. Very easy and convenient.
Leaked after four uses September 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is definitely a comfortable bed once set up, although it is quite heavy and unwieldy to take up/down. Unfortunately, we were only able to use it four times before it started leaking, so now our $300 guest bed no longer works. Very poor investment!
excellent September 4, 2008 top of the line aerobed for not alot of money. Great product and shopping experience.
The terrible plastic smell is our only problem August 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this bed 1 month ago and put it up immediately, to air out before our guest arrived last night. I have been airing the thing out for a month and it STILL has that noxious plastic smell. We've had the window open for a month, leaned it up on it's side, stuck pillows inbetween the 2 mattresses to allow the bottom inside plastic to also air, and I wiped it down with a baking soda solution....still the plastic smell. I'm really hoping that it will fade.
That, so far, is the only reason the mattress has a 4-star rating from me. Otherwise, it would have 5 stars. The rest of the features are GREAT: It's high enough to sit on just like a regular bed, the mattress cover is wonderful to have, along with the dust ruffle. I bought full-size sheets and they fit the bed beautifully, and being able to tuck them in is great. Outside of the smell, you wouldn't know it was an air bed. I actually slept on the bed earlier and it was very comfortable, even with the smell (which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 3...even with the smell I could sleep on the bed because of its comfort).
The bed has been great, for the month that we've had it up. During the past month it has not lost air while it's been set up, turned over and over to air, etc. That's also another plus for us. We love the bed and just hope that the smell will fade much more than it has.
