Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A perfect solution for the outdoor enthusiast seeking a simple harness system for cameras or binoculars. The BINO/CAM HARNESS self-adjusts to comfortably balance gear while in use or in the idle position against the body. The unique loop attachment system enables the harness to quickly snap in place. It's simple design and great price is sure to win approval! The elastic version allows your camera or binoculars to be held tighter against the body. While still allowing the camera or binoculars to be brought up to the eyes for use.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect   September 30, 2008
I'd purchased a similar binoculars harness from Cabela's and wasn't happy with it. The Cabela's product had fixed connections between the harness and the binoculars. On this unit, the connection point slides. A much better solution, on my other unit it's difficult to adjust the strap lengths so that it doesn't feel like you have to tug the unit up to your eyes. On this unit, the binoculars slide right into place.
The other nice thing about this unit is the price. If you look, you can buy the same product with a brand name, Ziess, Nikon, Audoban, Steiner, etc...but you pay more! Without the brand name you get the same product and a very low price. I'm totally satisfied and plan on buying another one for my camera!

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic buy!   August 30, 2008
This is the best accessory I've ever bought for a camera. I have had a camera in my hand for 40 years & have bought lots of equipment & accessories, this was the best $12.00 I've ever spent. I have arthritis in my neck & wasn't looking forward to having my camera strap around my neck while on vacation in Colorado for 11 days, then I found the harness. I just can't say enough good things about it. It's easy to get on, easy to hook & unhook your camera from it, but most important, easy on the neck & back. I absolutely recommend this for anyone who carries a camera around a lot or is going somewhere scenic where you'll want lots of pictures. FANTASTIC!!!!!!

4 out of 5 stars added convenience for carrying heavy camera   August 24, 2008
THis strap does help take the weight off your neck when carrying a heavy camera and lens. I would prefer some padding where the two straps come together at the back, although that would add some bulk to the strap. The thin straps let me use this with any bag I choose, and not make the bag hard to close. For long walks while carrying a heavy camera, this unit really helps.

4 out of 5 stars a big improvement over a strap   July 25, 2008
This harness is great for reducing fatigue in the neck and shoulders caused by a traditional camera strap. I use it with my Pentax DSLR with a 70:300 zoom macro most of the time. It does not stabilize the camera with the zoom lens as well as some reviews here would have you believe. It's head and shoulders above a regular strap in keeping the camera still, but on long hikes, it gets uncomfortable to have the camera riding in the same spot the whole time, since the weight of the lens pulls the bottom edge of the camera into your torso. I would have liked to see something that would cause the lens to point down, not out. Perhaps that's a complaint about the strap attachments on the camera and not about the harness itself, but as long as a product is setting out to correct a design defect in a traditional product...

One more drawback might be that you look like kind of a dork wearing this around. It's not subtle, nor does it look cool. It looks like suspenders or perhaps the underpinnings of a prosthetic device. If you're vain enough to care, you might think about a wrist strap or something less obtrusive. If you're the company that makes these, you might think about offering a color other than black. Make it look like hiking equipment instead of like a strange and elaborate garter.

To the good, I have never taken so many pictures on a hike as I have since I got this harness. Shooting a picture is quick enough that, even in low light or with a quick trailside setup, photo-related delays in the hike are nearly nonexistant. If you have ever missed a wildlife shot getting the camera up to your face, you will appreciate having your setup right there in front of you waiting to be used.

4 out of 5 stars Terrific Neck Comfort with some limitations   June 21, 2008

The harness really takes the weight of carrying the binoculars off the back of my neck, What a relief! The harness is lightweight and actually will fit into the binocular case for storage. I'm still adjusting the clips to get them correct. The mounting clips make it easy to quickly mount the binoculars and remove them. So far they have held them securly. I have emailed the company and extra clips can be purchased to use the harness with other binoculars or a camera. The only real draw back is that once you install the mounting clips on the binoculars or camera you can not also use a regular neck strap when that would be desired. In my case, my wife does not want the harness and when kyacking I would have to radically adjust the harness to fit over the life jacket.
