Product Description The Omni-Bounce 400 Flash Diffuser creates a diffused bare bulb effect, and is designed specifically to fit the Nikon SB-400 Flash Unit. It gives even coverage across the entire frame, and works flawlessly with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (as well as other formats). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and attaches to your flash in seconds with a snug, custom fit, and not a single piece of velcro or other adhesive. Designed for years of service with out the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into your gadget bag or pocket, yet it makes a huge difference in all your photos.

great product for the price! September 18, 2008 i bought this at the same time i bought my SB-400 speedlight for my D50 and D40. simple to use, it fits great over the light, and works wonderfully. highly recommended for people who want to diffuse the light from the SB-400.
does the job August 29, 2008 I'm new to photography and this seemed like an easy way to soften the flash. I have not complaints, easy on, easy off.
Take better pictures with this, yes it works! August 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
There is no miracle cure for flash blowout, but this diffuser does a good job and is worth the low price. I've taken pictures in all types of lighting situations with the SB-400, and bouncing the flash has always given me the best results. However, this isn't always possible, is it? For example, during one shoot, the drop ceiling was orange - which made the bounced light also orange, and yes, everyone in the picture was orange!
The STO-FEN Omni-Bounce does a good job of diffusing your flash when you have no other options. You will still need to adjust your exposure here and there, it's just a fact of life, but this diffuser does a good job of helping you to dampen that over blown look.

i bought this for a bounce effect in the madam tusand where the ceeling is so high above that i cou;dn't bounce my flash .. this works great with the SB-400 and fits perfectly. works great .. but at the end of the day .. a plastic cap for $13 is too much to pay for. but since there is no option :(. i bouhgt it
Great Product. Exactly what I needed May 3, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought an SB400 for my D40 a few months ago and I loved the light when bouncing it off the ceiling, but I had trouble shooting vertical shots without a white(ish) wall close by or shooting period with a high ceiling. The Omni-Bounce gives great natural light with softer shadows behind the subject. If you want cheap, natural light from the tiny SB400 in nearly any environment, GET THIS!!!! It slipped on the nose of the flash with zero trimming and no fitting issues. By the way, if you're still using the built in flash for indoor shots, get the SB400 and this and you'll be all set. The built-in is fine for fill flash outdoors, but it gives harsh, unnatural, blue light and hard, dark backgrounds. Get the SB400 for like $130 full price and the Omni-Bounce and never look back.
