The Only Way to Go For Your PS3 November 21, 2009 Scott Martin (Florida) My only complaint with this unit is the price, but once you get over that it's the best option out there and once you've had a harmony remote it's almost impossible to go back to a regular remote. Not much of a review can be given here as it has a lot to with the remote you use, but it's safe to say if you have a harmony remote you won't be disappointed with this adapter. It powers the ps3, controls all of it's functions and works as advertised. I have a ps3 slim and it works fine with it, although I am told earlier revisions didn't.
Awesome device November 19, 2009 Captain1k There's not much to say. You plug it in, press a button and the Ps3 finds it. Works great with the Harmony One remote. No complaints!
Does the job November 16, 2009 Brian Beal (Tracy, CA United States) I've been using this for three days now, and no problems at all. The initial setup was quick and worked right away. I'm using this with a Harmony 900 remote, and it took most of my time setting up the remote, not the adapter.
Also, I've not experienced any of the reported problems of losing sync or other controllers losing sync. I did put the adapter 2 glass shelves below my PS3 to create a little bit of space (as some suggested doing).
Bottom line for me is I can now control the PS3 entirely with my Harmony remote, so it was well worth the cost.
Works great... setup is not obvious November 15, 2009 zuiko The only issue I had getting this to work with my Harmony remote was that there was no device called "Logitech Harmony Adapter for PS3" listed in the software. After looking for it in various device categories for a very long time I tried it with the general "Playstation 3" device and it worked great. It even automatically handles those video prompts when you want to turn it off. It is a huge improvement over having to use a separate remote just for the PS3 player.
You can't tell from the picture, but the thing is tiny. It's about cell phone sized. Something that is kind of curious about this is that the power LED is extremely bright. It is much brighter than the LEDs on any other piece of AV equipment I have. It is bright enough to use as a night light. That could be a good or bad thing depending on where you have it and how you feel about night lights. Worse case, a tiny piece of electrical tape will hide the bright LED.
Works as described. November 11, 2009 Steph H. Too much for what it is. You can get a BT mouse for half this price so obviously you are paying for the programming and that Logitech knows that someone with a Harmony remote and a PS3 will be willing to pay this much. Beyond the price, it works perfectly. Once you plug it in you will never think about it again.
