Not so easy November 1, 2009 Lisa K. (Northern California, USA) To many air bubbles and they are impossible to work out from underneath the film. I will not do it on future readers.
Buyer Beware October 28, 2009 David Womble (Huntington Beach) The skin is fine if using alone. It is too thick to be compatible with a case or cover. Someone needs to come up with a screen cover that allows bubbles to escape, fits correctly (this one is a bit too wide) and does not attract every piece of lint, dust...this is not it. Good stuff is not cheap; cheap stuff is not good.
Good Case Though There Could Be Improvement October 18, 2009 Iris Green (DC metro area) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm satisfied with my Kindle 2 Silicone case. It fits my Kindle well, is lightweight and translucent so that I can see the side buttons. Like one of the other reviewers noted, the case works well for at home reading. It is comfortable for me to hold my Kindle and read at my leisure. However, on my day-to-day commute to and from work or elsewhere, I use my Cole Haan leather cover (which I give 5 stars as I love it!). There are a couple of things that prevent me from giving this case 5 stars:
1. It doesn't provide any protection for the keyboard. I'm not sure why the makers of this case wouldn't provide any covering for the keyboard, but they don't. I almost regret throwing away the plastic protective sheet that came with the Kindle's packaging.
2. As other reviewers mentioned, the screen protector is worthless. It is a dust and lint magnet. I use my case without the screen protector. Since I only use the case when I'm reading at home vs. when I'm carrying it in my purse or backpack, this point isn't too big of a deal for me.
Overall, the case is worth the purchase if the two issues mentioned above don't conflict with your needs. Otherwise, I'm sure there are other cases out there that provide good protection for the whole Kindle--body, keyboard and the screen.
Doesn't fit particularly well October 9, 2009 A. Corcoran 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The case is a bit loose on the Kindle, and there really is no reason for it. It is made fairly well though, and would get 5 stars if it fit better. The screen protector is OK, but i took it off to get a piece of dirt off and now it is useless. The screen protector is washable but you cannot dry it or it picks up every tiny piece of lint, and air drying leaves water spots all over it.
Awful. September 20, 2009 Benjamin Kreeger (Springfield, MO) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The screen protector won't apply very well. Good luck getting it on without any bubbles.
The skin barely fits on there. It's loose and tacky.
I'm SO GLAD I spent money on this junk. Why doesn't a respected, well-established company make screen protectors and skins for the Kindle? THAT's what I want to know.
