great camera! November 21, 2009 Lizzy (California, Los Angeles) This is my first digital camera I've bought and so far I'm loving it. Its a great size. I carry mine everywhere. The pictures look amazing. Very easy to control. Love the color too! It takes great quality pictures for such a great price.
Great camera! November 20, 2009 Laurel Lerner (East Windsor, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the camera for my 12-year-old granddaughter and we both love it. It's easy, takes very clear photos and small enough to carry around. She is very interested in learning photography and this is an excellent first camera for that purpose.
this camera is nice November 20, 2009 Megan Landes (Virginia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i love canon and this camera does not disappoint. my last elph was a little more user friendly, but having had one before i figured it out pretty quickly. the quality of the pictures is great and it's very easy to carry around being about the size of a business card, and light weight. plus it's adorable and green.
Good camera, but some things you need to know November 18, 2009 4 cell phone family (Crossville, TN United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Found this to be an attractive, compact camera with lots of great features as listed in other reviews. I'm not a camera expert, so I won't comment on how it compares to other models.
Just two important, practical things to know:
1) this camera does NOT come with a memory card, really important info to know if you plan to use it immediately on the day you get it. No memory card....no pictures. Might as well go ahead and get one while ordering the camera. This adds another $20-$25 to the price of the camera, so you may want to consider this when cost comparing.
2) The camera is compact enough to fit in a pocket which is great, BUT it is almost too small for someone with large hands to operate comfortably. Also the finish is pretty, but so smooth that it is very easy to slip out of your hands. Using the wrist strap everytime is crucial if you hope to do so without dropping it.
Great pocket camera November 16, 2009 Gary Eslin (Clarksville, MD USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I gave my neice an SD1100 last year and she is still raving about it. I decided to buy one for myself and, of course, they were discontinued. The SD1200 turned out to be a fantastic little camera. It takes great pictures and yet it fits easily into a pocket. It's the perfect camera for travel. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
