Officejet Pro 8000 March 16, 2010 Richard P. Johnson I think this printer is one of the best I have used so far.
Two bad the ink cartridges cost more than the printer! When you purchase all of them.
I dream of setting it ablaze March 16, 2010 Deanna Morey I'd rather poke myself in the eye than own this printer again. It gets two stars only because it is super ink efficient. It can run circles around other printers in terms of more prints and fewer ink cartridges.
That said using it was a nightmare. It consistently refused to print and even a replacement didn't help. "Christine" also had a habit of shutting itself off on a dime. It worked about three weeks out of the six months I owned it. Windows 7 users beware! After numerous problems I was finally told by a manager there are known compatibility issues with Windows 7 that will take another three months to fix. They suggested I either wait (what???) or downgrade my operating system. I bought another printer the same day.
A good mid-level-quality printer March 12, 2010 G. N. Garcia (Washington DC) I gave up on my Canon Pixma Pro9000 because it used up ink by the square pixel. It would only take Canon paper to boot! The HP printer is a very good printer, though I'm not too excited about the overall quality of photo printing. The wireless feature might prove to be useful. Finally, I bought the 8000 model because I don't care for machines that "do it all"---you're only inviting trouble.
My new printer HP Officejet8000 wireless March 4, 2010 William H. Geary (Lowell, MA USA) Excellent printer but was unaware that I would need a High Speed USB cable ordered seperately since a wireless router would be necessary for wireless operation instead of a wireless transmitter like my wireless mouse that I could just plug into a USB port.
DO NOT BUY! March 2, 2010 E. Roohan (Poughkeepsie, NY United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This printer is a piece of crap. It has never consistently worked for me. It takes forever to start up, jams constantly, and just stops printing in general. And now it just doesn't print at all. I've only owned it for four months. Trust me, buy a different printer.
