It works. November 22, 2009 P. leung (Houston TX) This model may be simple and easy to use. It is just right for an old TV. Furthermore, it is free with the Uncle Sam'e help.

Nothing extra special, but it works great. No problems that i can find. I just wish I could get it to bypass some of the channel I would never watch.

The product, while different from the Magnivox version I had purchased from Wal-Mart, works fine and was as easy to install.
Doesn't work with Cable - Can't be returned November 19, 2009 Brent in Bismarck (ND USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I searched for the the full product manual online before buying this item in order to insure that it would work for me. I wanted to use it as a DTV converter for cable. After installing it and doing a channel "search" several times without it finding any channels I reread the user manual to find that it explicitly does not work with cable. This is bizzare given that my 20 year old TV sees 24 channels on the cable line, but the Zinwell box won't see one of them, analog or digital.
THIS UNIT ONLY WORKS WITH "OVER THE AIR" SIGNAL.
ALSO THE AMAZON RETURN POLICY ON THIS UNIT IS NO RETURN.
Zinwell Converter Box November 18, 2009 Carole Sotis (Arcadia, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This equipment works well but requires a digital antenna. It will not work with tv rabbit ears. Once we purchased the antenna, all was well.
