 Formatting Doesn't Work November 18, 2009

This drive would not format with Windows Vista. Before I could use it I kept getting the message that it must be formatted. I tried and after 15 minutes or longer, the error message "format was unsuccessful" appeared. Tried 4 or 5 more times. I was about to send it back, but then connected it to an old XP system. Formatting worked very quickly. Reconnected to my Vista OS computer and only then could I use it normally. So, despite what the packaging says, it was not compatible with Vista OS ("home premium" version). I hope it will work with Windows7. If you already have Windows7 installed, it's probably a good idea to call HP and find out before purchasing this drive.
PS: I called HP, they were no help, nor is their website. But they did tell me that 100w means it is the older version; 125w is the newest (and more expensive).

I am happy with my purchase of the 4GB flashddrive that I recently bought. It is going to be a backup to my other flashdrive and my desktop storage. I have not used it yet but it is what I wanted and it is made by a great company. It is sufficient for storing the data and documents that I need to backup. I will continue to buy items from this site and I got it at a good price and the shipping was free. It arrived in a hurry and I was in no rush to get it. The whole process was easy and quick and I like that.

With the price I paid for this USB, it was fantastic compare to the other one I have been through. Not like the Cruzer which sometimes give my PC lagging moment in opening the folder in the USB, this HP USB works very well. It runs very fast, quick, and no annoying add on software. I love it.
