We got our Kindle DX in October and absolutely love it. We got one for each of us (my husband and I) and they were supposed to be Christmas presents but when we got them and opened the boxes we loved them too much to wrap them up. They were VERY user friendly. We took a three day train trip at Christmas and they were our only entertainment. We were even able to download books while on the train. Amazing technology. We had read the reviews before we got them and saw that there was a balance problem while holding the kindle and the inability to organize the books in additional folders. I agree with both flaws but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the product. 8-# I did find that if I hook the Kindle up to my computer that I can create a folder to store books that I have read so that my Kindle isn't so cluttered when I open it. I don't see the folder on the Kindle when I reopen it but it is there if I want to hook it up to my computer and view the folder contents and even move them back onto the main kindle view to reread at any time. The archive folder that you can see is wonderful because it stores a link to all the books you've ever bought and you don't have to download them until you are ready to read them. #If you move the books off of your Kindle to your computer, those links come back in the archive folder...this is well thought out by Kindle!) While the text to speech function is a cool idea, it reads non stop with no real puctuation or reading skills. Much like a robot...they definitely need to work on this but it is a beta funtion...so I think they realize it needs work. Overall, 5 stars to Amazon for creating this product!!

This is the best buy I have ever made. Or should I say the best device I have ever bought, because it is not cheap. It is quite expensive, but if you read as much as I do you will save a lot of money after a couple of month.

I love my kindle. My husband purchased the Kindle DX for me for our anniversary. It was the best thing he's ever bought for me. I've taken it just about everywhere with me. I read when I'm working out, it reads to me when I drive. LOVE IT. However, I had a problem with the Kindle DX and I contacted Amazon.com. The service was outstanding and they helped me resolve my problems. Between the Kindle and Amazon's service, there couldn't be a better combination.

My husband purchased the Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device for my birthday this year. I turned 56 and my eyesight is not what it used to be so I was not enjoying reading books as I've always done in the past. Since receiving my Kindle, I'm back to reading every chance I get. I love the convenience of downloading a book in less than 30 seconds and being able to hold the Kindle with one hand comfortably and also the setting of the bigger font. It has been the best present I've ever received. I love it and cannot say enough good things about it.
