Poor Product and Support March 11, 2010 Michael Taylor (USA) Think twice before buying one of these things. They just want your money. These things aren't cheap. You should expect them to last for a while. My wife had hers for a little over a year and it died. Guess what - the warranty was changed in 2007 from 2 to 1 years because evidently these things break after a year. All she did was keep it in her car.
The frustrating part about this was support. It took 5 phone calls and 3 weeks to finally get somebody to say "it's broken and out of warranty, sorry go buy a new one". Yet a far friendlier person a few calls earlier seemed confident that it could either be resolved or replaced. Not that she was expecting to get it replaced for free but at least be courteous about it.
Go with another brand where they actually back up the quality of their products. I hear Garmin is pretty good.
navigator March 9, 2010 Karen Cooper (CANFIELD, OHIO, US) bought this as a gift for our daughter. she has used it often, and i feel alot better knowing she can get where she's going without getting lost!
Tom Tom GPS 1 February 16, 2010 Angela Tang (Bay Area, CA) It works and is a good basic GPS. I think there are some functions that are lacking like the ability to tell you the name of the street you need to turn on. It only says, right turn ahead, which can be very confusing. The same goes for when you're on the freeway. If I were to buy another GPS, I would be a more expensive one with the features that help make finding my destinations easier, which in my opinion, is the whole purpose of a GPS in the first place.
POOR RECEPTION February 13, 2010 TVB Wasn't able to receive GPS signal. Left it outside away from tall building/trees, etc, no luck for 30-60 minutes. Gave up and returned to product.
GPS February 10, 2010 Kyle D. Dale (Misery) I have proplems with picking a location like a restaurant off of the Point Of Interst menu, and rather than taking you to that location it goes haywire and send you around the block, or on the wrong side the road. i.e. McDonalds will be on your left and it will be telling you to turn right.
Over all it's easy to use.
