BEST DVD DL EVER!!!! November 21, 2009 Jose Castillo Martinez (San Jose, Costa Rica) I bought 50 of these and the 50 WORKED, no problem at all, any computer and player can read them and burn them, go fo sure with memorex
PD, xbox 360 also read them with no problems at all
OK Dual Layer DVDs for a Great Price! November 10, 2009 Warren Moline (Plano, TX USA) At this time, all one can do is review the store as the quality of the Memorex DVDs are unknown. The store was great. Prompt shipping like it came directly from Amazon. Had no problems whatsoever in that regard. SO FAR I haven't had any problems with the DVDs either. I don't know how long they are going to last but I know none of them failed on me while burning or playing just yet. I know several people who also have purchased this brand as well with no hitches. The only caveat is that we all have newer computers or DVD players which handle poor quality DVDs well. I would buy this product again as the other alternatives cannot compete on price.
They work perfectly... November 8, 2009 Lewis (Gilbert, AZ) Memorex 8.5GB 8X Double Layer DVD+R (50pk Spindle)
I don't see the problem everyone has with these discs. i'm on my third set and i've never had a bad burn, every single disc used. i burn around 7GB iso files to the discs, use them daily, and have never had a problem with the quality.i use an hp desktop and my toshiba laptop with the program 'imgburn' and nver had a problem. burn at a low speed of 2.4x and there should be no problem. and at $35 for 50 discs!!! thats 70cents a disc. why even pay for the verbatim at an extremely high price when these work the same.
Don't be an idiot and they're great. November 7, 2009 C. Brandhorst 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you don't try to burn these at 8x, they are awesome. I've burned 20 of the 50 pack that I purchased here on Amazon. 19 have burned without a hitch. The one that failed, I tried burning at 8x tonight. Sure, it may take 40 minutes to burn an entire disk, but considering what you are using them for, it is recommended to burn at the lowest speed in every guide online.
BURN SLOW! I hate to have to repeat it again, but so many people are giving these bad reviews when they are great disks. I used Verbatim exclusively until I found these on here for something like 70 cents a disk as opposed to 1.50 for Verbatim. Burn them at 1 or 2.4x and you'll be fine.
No Problems with these in my DVD Burner November 1, 2009 OOVigilante (Cape Cod) I have burned 2 DVDs so far with out issue and that's at the highest recording speed. I'm using a Sony Vaio VGN-CS115J laptop with a Pioneer DVRTD08 drive.
