Worked as advertised November 17, 2009 Bertram M. Berla (St. Louis, MO, USA) This cable worked fine for connecting my macbook to the HDMI port on my TV. Picture quality is good.
Only way to go! March 29, 2009 Jerry Hughes I was using a composite connection from my cable box to my LCD 47" LG TV and that was okay but I didn't like all the extra wires. Got this wire and even though the visual quality is about the same, the audio quality is better and the response time when I change channels and adjust the volume is much faster. So I'm sure the visual quality is actually better but I haven't used Blue Ray yet, etc. Don't let "Worst Buy" rob you by buying an expensive wire from them!
not sure yet really March 25, 2009 Jonathan Martin (Florida) great picture quality. Good enough to read website text. Occasionally i have the picture flicker away and have checked connections and found no problem. Im unsure if its graphics card related, or a defect in this product. Either way its super cheap anyway so ill get a new one if it persists. I can deal with it for now.
A dirty little secret. March 15, 2009 Adam (Richland, WA) I've worked in retail for too many years. To not name names I have worked for a major electronics store that has now gone the way of the dinosaur, and also their main (still surviving) competitor.
In every place the fact is the same. Almost no money is made on the electronic device itself, be it the PC, TV, iPod, etc. All of the money gained is from the accessories, namely the cables (not to mention their "extended warranties").
Of coarse you want the cables when you buy your new device, they know this so they sell them at the highest price they can.
This cable, as well as the other "bargain" cables I've purchased online have all worked just as well as those other "high end/name brand" cables.
And just to touch on some of the other reviews. If it isn't working right you're either doing it wrong or you happened to get the less than 1 percent defect. So either research your issue or ask for a replacement.
A top notch 5 out of 5.
why pay more February 6, 2009 asax just a couple of bucks, dumb buy and stupid city wanted almost $50 for similar item. Now I can use my HDTV as a second monitor
