Impressed with this Bluetooth November 16, 2009 C. McCamant I am very impressed with this bluetooth. The sound is great, it was far cheaper than you would by in the store. It is extremely durable too! I've had mine for over a year and sent it thru the washing machine twice and it still works perfectly! True it doesn't exactly fit in your ear and it's a little annoying turning it on and off, but this is definitely worth the money!
WASTE OF MONEY November 14, 2009 Antonio Castillo (Panama) I BOUGHT TWO JUST TO HAVE ONE CHARGING WHILE I USE THE OTHER ONE.
BIG MISTAKE!!! BOTH STOP CHARGING WITH NO REASONS
IT WORKS OK JUST FOR A FEW MONTHS.
Its just OK November 12, 2009 F. Hill It serves the purpose. But I still hear static in the bluetooth unless the phone is extremely close. I hear static when my phone is on my hip and I am walking. I have to put my phone clipped on my purse which is at my shoulder and has less movement I suppose. Its still not crystal clear. I also didn't receive different sized ear pieces from the seller, only the M. A friend who bought this from the store received a S, M and L. For someone with small ears, even the M is uncomfortable. So I am unable to just have the bluetooth in my ear waiting for a call. I have to put it on after a call comes through, so that takes away from the convenience.
SImple, cheap and small November 12, 2009 H. Ho I only gave this 4 stars because I actually had owned a knock-off I purchased from China that had slightly better functionality than the genuine Samsung one. But that is not to say this headset is sub par, I just lucked out with a great knock-off. The battery life is pretty decent but I only use it in the car and try not to leave it in there, though my old one survived in the car for 4 years with summer heats that ranged in the upper 90s to low hundreds. I've only had experience with one other headset, the Plantronics Discovery and the Samsung WEP 200 beats the Discovery by far.
Pros:
- Better voice recognition* (esp for voice dialing)
- Clear headphone
- Loud enough without distortion*
- Optional ear loop (not necessary)
- Decent battery life
- Range is reasonable
- Small
Cons:
- Can't turn off the blue indicator light
- Could be louder
The * denotes functions that were better in the counterfit version, and ultimately kept the Samsung WEP 200 from getting that extra star. Range was bad on the knock-off but it was enough for in-vehicle use.
Works great, til it goes in the washing machine... November 10, 2009 Rory Egan (Dana Point, Ca) I have had two of these over the past year, first one went in the washing machine. Second one was lost, they are just to small and get lost in my pocket because I dont want to be that douche bag wearing it 24-7.
Just use a blue tooth speaker by Kensington in my truck now...
