Product Description Intuos3 gives you the power to quickly and professionally edit photos and create digital artwork by turning on the full power of Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, and over 100 other leading software applications. Intuos pen tablets use Wacom's Penabled technology to give you the natural feel and superior performance of Wacom's patented cordless and battery-free tablet technology. You'll find that using an Intuos pen, mouse, and tablet gives you more control, comfort, and productivity. Alternating between the comfortable Grip Pen and the ergonomic five-button Intuos3 mouse reduces repetitive motion. It's an easy and natural way to work. It's easy to use a pen tablet because every point on the tablet has a matching point on the screen. When you move your pen over the tablet the cursor moves in precisely the same way on the screen. Where you touch your pen tip to the tablet is where you click. The Intuos3 Grip Pen gives you the power of pressure-sensitive control. Pressure sensitivity lets you control your software tools by changing how hard you press the pen tip to the tablet surface. Using pressure sensitivity you can dynamically control things like brush size, opacity, and more.

Wacom Intuos3 Graphic Tablet November 17, 2009 Boatrjack (San Francisco, CA) I was looking for a quality graphic tablet for a reasonable price. The Wacom Intuos3 is not the latest Intuos product, and most prices I found were around $250+ -- a bit more than I wanted to spend. Thank you Amazon.com -- for less than $200 I purchased this product, shipped to my door and got more than I expected. (This was the medium tablet - 6 x 8)
Included was the Wacom specific wireless pen and mouse, plus Adobe Photoshop (v6) and Corel Paint (v4). Even though these may be outdated, it is a good start for what I am mainly interested in -- working with digital photography and graphic design. Costco has the latest version of Adobe Photoshop (Elements) v8 for $49 which I am buying tommorow.
A must for Corel Painter November 15, 2009 Mr. Velvia (Arnold, CA) I use this with both Corel Painter and Photoshop CS4. After a week of use I was sold on the Wacom Intuos3. The 6x8 pad is huge and I'm glad I did not get the larger one.
Pros: very well built, pen is the most useful device. I love the way I can now pinpoint a touch up like the whites of an eye in a photograph.
Cons: the mouse has a cheap feel to it and is slow. So I use a wireless Logitech mouse on the pad that seems to work better for me.
Other thoughts: I ordered one before this with Free Shipping from Amazon. It did not arrive, lost somewhere between Sacramento and my house. Amazon refunded the money but it was frustrating.
Can't live without it. October 18, 2009 William J. Kane (Portland, OR USA) I've had this for two years now having gotten it in Christmas of 2007. I can't imagine using my PC without it. Not only the pen for detail work, but having a mouse that doesn't require batteries AND be wireless?
The Intuos3 is the perfect size for a desk, too. Not too big or small. At $200, I'm seriously considering buying a second one for work.
You won't be sorry! Just buy it!
Awesome October 15, 2009 djBUTT3RFLY (Seattle, WA) I love this tablet. It's very continuous not jumpy at all. It works on my Mac, Windows, Ubuntu, KDE and Fedora without issue. I never use the mouse though, its too small for my hand.
Pretty Good October 7, 2009 R. Huynh I've used it for about few months now. No real complaints, however the black nibs wear out way too fast. Otherwise a great product.
