 Great idea- and it works!! December 31, 2008
Looking for a mount for a 37" LCD TV (Toshiba) and found that the TV had VESA 400 x 200 holes, but all of the reasonably priced wall mounts for 37" TVs were either 100 x 100 or 200 x 200. I ordered this product, it arrived before the mount did. The directions were easy enough to understand. The only improvement I would recommend would be to include some large washers to better distribute the load - the supplied hardware was OK for the hole size on the adapter, but the mount I bought (also a Sanus) had much larger holes. Washers were needed to make the mount secure.

i purchased this item, along with the sanus mf110-b1 full-motion wall mount for my Vizio VW37L 37" LCD tv. i had read a review and someone else said this is what they needed to mount their 37" vizio tv. so i received the mount and it only had a pattern of 200x200 and it was not wide enough. i saw this adapter and read the review and figured thats what i needed because the holes were too short in width, the height matched up fine. i was disappointed when i realized it was still about 1" short in either side. i found out my model tv was 520mmx200mm. and you cant buy any mount or adapter that fits that unless it is from vizio and about 3x as expensive. after research and reading what i could find, i found that it is just an off brand tv and they dont use the same specifications for mounting as every other brand tv out there. after this experience the couple hundred i saved on the tv didn't make a difference after i had to spend a couple hundred extra to get the tv mounted. i hope nobody else makes the same mistake i did.

Adapters used to mount a Dynex 32" widescreen LCD to a swivel mount with the standard VESA hole pattern. Adapter was necessary to have the TV centered on the mount rather than offset to one side.

I purchased the Sanus VESA 400mm x 200mm Adapter Plate along with the Sanus MF110-B1 pivoting arm. This adapter plate allows the MF110-B1 to accept my 37" VIZIO TV.

These plates are a very good answer for many mounts that do not offer the option of a VESA 400mm x 200mm adapter plate without adding very much weight and keeping the strength and rigid design intact. Many of your off name flat screen LCD TV's have this configuration and these plates will take care of the problem.
