gay light July 31, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
High school drama class combined with the football and pom pom squids would be the way I would describe the acting and plot development. Was hard for the movie to hold my interest even with the eye candy, can see that online anytime.
New Movie Genre July 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
In the best tradition of straightening freedoms of new millennium filmmakers tell of a lesbian detective working for a gay guy to solve a mysterious disappearance of his twin brother-photographer.
Dialogues and lack of context have been filled with scenes of nudity and sexual activities making a viewer supposing that this is all in a world around.
Nice music, easy watching plot, not too dirty visualisation.
Perhaps, this work belongs to an oncoming genre of movies mixing variety of sexual activities for a general viewing.

the acting wasn't the greatest. what was nice about the movie was the background. if you are from the philly area, you can see where they filmed this movie. it was nice to support a local movie company. but, they had made the ending as if they could add a sequel to it. if you like male nudity.. this has it!
Fast Moving with a twist July 6, 2008 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Well thought out production that is expertly filmed and the actors well chosen and superb in their respective roles. Very believable plot. In addition, there is the bonus of a little male eye candy. Enjoyable. Twist surprise ending. A film well worth viewing repeatidly.
Raising the Bar on "Noir" May 9, 2008 6 out of 19 found this review helpful
"2 Minutes Later"
Raising the Bar on Noir"
Amos Lassen and Cinema Pride
It's cinema festival time so people are rolling out their new projects in hopes of gaining recognition and acceptance--as well as sales. If you remember last year's "Open Cam" by Robert Gaston, a clever suspenseful crime drama set n Washington, then you will be ready for his new film, "2 Minutes Later". In his new film Gaston attempts to raise the bar on gay mystery movies. He tries hard when he gives us the story of the disappearance of Kyle, a photographer from Philadelphia. Abigail, a lesbian private eye and Michael, the twin brother of the missing man enter the scene ad begin to seek answers for the disappearance of Kyle. The question I have is whether or not we are supposed to care about any of this. The missing twin is the most disgusting, narcissistic buffoon who for some reason has won over the hearts of Philadelphia society with his "provocative" photography. His portrayal is everything short of provocative. He is sad and unsympathetic. Nevertheless there should be some sort of reward in watching the detective teaming with a gay man to solve the disappearance. Yet that is also an idea gone awry. The actress, Jessica Graham, tries very hard to create some kind of interest with her part but she comes off as the stereotypical lesbian, even though she is sexy and fun to watch. There is no chemistry shared between her and her compatriot. There are lots of good looking men with great bodies thrown into the mix but you just don't seem to care. What the movie does not have is heart and being amateurish, that is just what it needs.
