I was searching for another great TV show to get into. I had stumbled across information on this show before but it didn't capture my interest initially. As a fan of the Fantasy genre, I felt that I have seen and read too much that a show would really have to be original to capture my interest. I have tried to get into other fantasy TV shows but it has been difficult because many are simply to cheesey. I am glad I took another look at this show because it is one of my favorite of all time now.
I have only watched the first season but I was surprised how well-done this show is. The show starts off with a few cliches of the fantasy genre sticking out from it such as the obligatory white-haired wizard, the hero who is destined to save the world, the love that cannot be, etc., but as pointed out in a review below, by the 7th episode the show really starts to come into full swing and develops a personality of it's own and develops into an outstanding show!
The character development, chemistry between characters, writing, and productions is top notch. I just wasn't expecting the higher production value. If you are a fan of fantasy you will love this show. It is what we have been waiting for.

Great - really enjoyed seeing the story from the beginning (I starting watching it on TV during the second season). Love the characters - action is intense and the ladies are hot!.

I got hooked on this show form the first day it aired on TV. Love it & I am so glad the series is continuing. I was so happy when the first season was available on DVD. Got my sister & friend hooked on the show also. Loved the show so much that I ended up ordering the first set of books in the book series - haven't started those yet but I am so looking forward to it & I know I will not be disappointed. You will get hooked on this show once you start!

It took me a few random airings on TV to get into this series but its cinematography is absolutely stunning for a TV series. Its not too often that you find a series like this.

OH MY GOD!!!! i HAVE NOT STOP WATCHING THESE DVDS SINCE I RECEIVED THEM.. I LOVE EVERYHING ABOUT THE DVDS. I ENJOYED THE DELETED SCENES.I HAVE A LARGE SCENE TV, SO EVERYTHING IS SO BEAUTIFUL,THE SCENERY IS BREATHTAKING.CRAIG HORNER IS OVER THE TOP IN THE GOOD LOOKING DEPARTMENT,I LOVE THE FIGHT SCENES AND THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE ACTORS IS ON THE MARK, IF YOU ENJOY FANTASY,THIS IS THE ONE FOR YOU..
