Amazon.com Burn Notice settles into a satisfying groove in its second season. The cast is cool and confident, the writers have mastered the mix of stand-alone stories and the season-long hook, and the blend of retro-70s flavor with 21st century self-awareness is delicious. Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) still hasn.t figured out who .burned. him--i.e., got him blacklisted as a covert agent and left him trapped in Miami. But he has uncovered a lead in the form of Carla (Tricia Helfer, Battlestar Galactica), a mysterious manipulator who assigns Michael unexplained tasks. But if he resists these tasks, everyone he loves is at risk--including his mom, Madeline (Sharon Gless, Cagney & Lacey), his sleek and violent ex-girlfriend Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar, Scent of a Woman), and his squirrelly best pal, Sam (Bruce Campbell, Evil Dead II). In each episode, while wrestling with Carla.s ongoing schemes, Michael gets drawn into helping some hapless innocent, such as a waitress being stalked by a drug dealer, an accountant to a rap mogul with a gangster background, or a father who.s been scammed out of the money he needs for his sick son. While these smartly-plotted stories unfold, the true pleasure of the show is listening to Michael reveal techniques for forging checks, explain how to make a crude x-ray machine, or describe the active ingredients of pepper spray--all the tricks of the spy trade. Are they genuine? Who knows and who cares! They.re completely entertaining, clever enough to be plausible, and they go hand-in-hand with Michael.s arsenal of cheesy accents and cheerful quips. Burn Notice: Season Two features a good dose of deleted scenes, chatty audio commentaries by cast and crew, a genuinely charming gag reel (featuring Donovan doing a little soft-shoe), and a genuinely illuminating featurette with the show.s creator, Matt Nix, describing the process of preparing to direct an episode. All in all, it.s an excellent package, ready for delivery. --Bret Fetzer

Sunscreen, Shades, Suits and C4- gotta love it !! November 6, 2009 USA junkie (SC) 'Michael Weston' is to 2009+ what McGuyver was to the 80's - with one heck of a C4 kick !! USA really came out with a blazing winner with 'Burn Notice'. The dialog is sharp and witty and reels you in. Once there you hang on for a ride of your life. Burn Notice really delivers the action, adventure that entertains while giving you the insight into the life of a "Secret operative" on the outside trying to get back in- while trying to avoid family entanglements. Burn Notice season 2- buy it!
Burn Notice Season 2 October 24, 2009 Richard Fox (San Diego, CA USA) Season 2 continues with our lovable burned spy doing what he does best..."Seeing what he can do" to help others. He is also continuing to try to find the person that burned him as he goes about helping others. With his friends / partners, Sam & Fiona, they do it business as usual style, blowing stuff up. If you enjoyed Season 1, you have to buy Season 2, I can hardly wait for Season 3!!!
They did it again October 17, 2009 L. Brown This is perhaps one of the greatest TV programs ever done and I appreciate USA network for keeping this outstanding program on. The charaters are portrayed so well by Mr Donovan and Ms Anwar. The setting in Miami is overwhelming. It is so good to see Ms Gless doing TV again as well as Mr Campbell too. The plot is everchanging and it has the true nature of a mixture of 007 and Macgyver. Each episode builds so well into the next with Michael getting so close to the truth about his burning and then it just blows up in his face. The realism of each episode is just great and I have half of next season on my DVR and am looking forward to the next half of season 3 to add to my collection of Burn Notice.
Fabulous Show October 15, 2009 David A. Stever (St. Paul) This is truly one of the best things on TV. I love how Michael's story arc keeps interfering with the various reclaimation projects he takes on. The heartbreaks of this season (I can quickly think of two, without revealing spoilers) and how he deals with them are tremendous television.
LOVE BURN NOTICE! October 14, 2009 Liana (MA)
Burn Notice is an amazing show! I wasn't a huge fan of it when I first started watching, but the more you watch it, the more you get sucked in! My friend borrowed the seasons from me, and she's hooked now too! I can't wait for the 2nd half of Season 3 to start!
