Fantastic Product November 21, 2009 Taga Victoria (San Diego, CA USA) This product is so simple to use. Once you install the software in your computer, just plug in the camera and insert the slide or negative film using the holder of the film slide it in. Choose the picture you want, save it to your computer and then you can print it. So simple.
Not so good. November 15, 2009 Scott Maybe (St. Louis Park, MN.) This product doesn't transfer the image very well. I called the manufacturer who then sent me a new driver CD which did help, but it still wasn't very good. Certainly not good enough to share the end result with anybody.
incompaitible with 35MM and Vista OS. November 7, 2009 Vernon E. Tiger (Melbourne, Florida USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The driver for this item is NOT compatible with Windows Vista. The slide trays are of a size too large to fit the holes in my 35MM negative films. The picture openings are too large for the 35mm photo negative films. Attempted two different Innovative Technology slide converters
neither driver would install in my Vista OS computer. I don't believe these IT converters are
made for 35MM negatives.
Not worth the time November 6, 2009 G. Weber (St Charles, MO, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm not a slouch on comupters and, after an hour and a half, was unable to get thing to run on my system. I returned this one, spent another $100 and got one that does handstands. Well worth it in my book.
It's OK: Not Great, Not Awful November 2, 2009 Cactus Frank (Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but figured, "What the heck. It's only $50." And that was the correct attitude.
I had no problems with the installation. The manual went to GREAT lengths to make sure you enter the correct computer configuration: 32 or 64 bit. Loading was straight forward, and, if you read the instructions, the operations screen is adequate (it is not "obvious" what to do if you don't read the instructions).
I've only used 35mm slides and the quality has ranged from great to awful. It seems most could use a tweak or 2 with a photo finish software, but some just don't reproduce no matter what I try. As you might expect, the slides I want the most are the those that don't scan worth a darn.
So, yes, I'd buy it again. Those slides that don't scan well? If I really, really want them, I'll send them out at $0.30 each and have them professionally done. In the meantime, I shall be satisfied to digitize those slides that I can. And, at $0.30 each, the little scanner has already paid for itself.
