Great Picture, Can't Go Wrong With Sony March 5, 2010 dominoez21 (Philadelphia, PA) I got this product back in Nov 2009. I currently have 2 Sony Blu Ray players (2 different models) and haven't had any problems with either.
The picture and sound quality is amazing. I believe it decodes Dolby Digital surround sound. I haven't tried the wireless connection so I can't comment on that.
The load time is reasonable. The disc read time (from inserting the disc to start playing) was about 15 seconds. The player itself is very stylish and looks great with the hdtv and home theater equipment. All I want to do is watch blu rays! DVD movies seem like mediocre picture quality to me nowadays. Also, this player is not netflix capable. Wish it was...
The only issue I have been having is that once in a while the sound from the home theater stutters and turns off for a few minutes then comes back on again. If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know! All the cable connections are correctly inserted and secure. Im not sure if the problem is the blu ray player, hdtv, or sound system. All three are Sony.

I received one of these players for Christmas. I liked it so much that I purchased the identical unit for the downstairs home theater. Functions great, simple to use, looks great.
No Fun for the price February 20, 2010 Adams (Federal Way, WA, US) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this blueray player thinking it streamed netflix. The main reason I bought it was because it was wireless and a Sony and so I must have just assumed it would stream Netflix and etc. like the S460 but it does not. BIG LET DOWN. I had no problem pairing it up with my router. It works great. Good picture quality and good sound quality. I was using my TV speakers which is a Samsung and it sounded better than it ever did. It played all formats of disks I had, not like the previous Samsung blueray player I bought and took back immediatly. But the one thing is it only plays BD Live content as the box says. It does not stream anything else which is strang, I donot know why Sony would do this to their I consider top model blueray player. The remote is very plain like the other reviews said. Also I wish the remote would eject the DVD. But I can live with it.
Well I immediatley sent the BDP-S560 back and bought the BDP-S460 and now I am happy even though its not wireless but I hear you can make it wireless.
Nicely integrates with Sony Bravia TV February 14, 2010 PackerFan (Michigan) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's a little slow booting up, but that may be the norm with all Blu-ray players for all I know. Excellent picture and sound. I don't have the network stuff hooked up yet, so I can't comment on any of the online features. I had to upgrade the firmware when I first hooked it up, but that was easy enough to do by following the instructions on the Sony web site.
