Worst Scanner in the World March 5, 2010 Ashraf U. Ahmed (Westlake Village CA) I bought this HP Scanjet N6010 Scanner few weeks ago and today returned it. I just ordered an Epson S50 from Amazon.
HP Scajet N6010 was my nightmere and wastes my money. It almost never works, bad softwares, slow, jamm almost
all the time, fail to scan, not efficient at all, takes several pages instead of one by one.
Victim like me should report to appropriate entity about this bad product. I wonder what the HP
senior management are doing?
If you would like to purchase this product good luck!
HP Scanjet N6010 Review December 5, 2009 Law Office Of Blazak (Seattle, WA USA) This product came to me refurbished. It was in good condition and had all the parts. It was easy to install. The first couple of times I used it there seemed to be a problem in that after it sat for some period of time w/o use (I didn't track the time line) I would have to shut down the unit and restart it to get it working. However, that problem seemed to go away after the first 4-5 uses. Don't know what that is all about. Otherwise I am happy with the unit. It scans the documents quickly and cleanly.
Compact, efficient and fast November 5, 2009 G. Lai This scanner is extremely fast and saves us precious time in accomplishing our tasks. The size is compact.
Great scans, really bad feeder June 5, 2009 William C. Kempf (Santa Cruz, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this scanner for about two years and it creates great scans. But I am completely frustrated with the feeder. I only use it a couple times a month but now might get rid of it.
My issue is that it has a real hard time separating pages as they cycle thru the scanner. I now watch every scan to make sure it doesn't skip a page. I was hoping that it would allow me to individually feed each page and still create a multi-page PDF like my flatbed canon does. No such luck.
I have had bad experiences with any page that has ever been folded or stapled and non slick paper like inkjet.
Great for small stacks January 24, 2008 Moe (San Diego, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although this scanner is fast you can not always place a stack of paper in the feeder and press scan. It starts pulling through 2-4 of the pages at a time. This makes it very diff with the large stacks I am always scanning. I have to feed them one by one. And forget it if someone or something comes in and distracts me because now I have to start all over. I have also found that with large stacks I have to break them up into two files. If I scan to many pages (one by one) into one PDF file the scanner always jams around the same area of the stack. If you are only scanning a few pages for each file I would fully recommend this scanner it is quick. But if you are scanning large stacks of papers or what a scanner that you can count on to only take one page of a stack at a time and not need to be constantly watched while scanning I suggest you continue shopping
