Product Description
This easy to use, affordable Internet receiver is a great alternative for e-mail and Internet access right from your TV. The MSN TV service enables you to surf the Web, send and receive e-mail, chat, and exchange instant messages using world-class MSN services such as MSN Messenger and so much more. And you get it all from the comfort of your favorite living room chair, via a wireless keyboard that offers one-button access to your e-mail and saved Web sites. Best of all, setup takes just minutes.

4 out of 5 stars Great Inexpensive Way To Access the Internet   January 8, 2007

This is great for accessing internet, exchanging email, pictures. Doesn't do everything that a computer will do, But I highly recommend it for anyone that just wants to exchange email or access the internet. Easy to use.

1 out of 5 stars Totally Useless.....   December 21, 2006

....is just what the MSNTV Internet Receiver is.
Sure, you can send and receive email, but that's where the good stuff ends.
As far as "surfing the internet", you'll be painfully limited. Most sites won't even allow access to MSNTV users.
The promised "upgrades" are FEW and far between.
And if the lack of technology isn't frustrating enough, a monthly subscription will cost you between $19.99 and $25.00 [depending on the model].....and this ISN'T DSL!

Don't fall for the bells and whistles advertising....take the $200 you might have spent on this piece of junk, save up another $200, and buy a used computer.

1 out of 5 stars E Mail Only   September 25, 2006

Look folks the Bill Clinton era is over. Why pay 21.95 just for e mail machine and to do a few out dated HTML codes. If you don't want to pay 199$ for the RCA4100,ante up another 150$ and get a cheap computer.I gave my old door stop to a friend. The 2100 has outlived it's usefulness. So don't waste your hard earned $$$.

3 out of 5 stars Good But Could Be A Little Better!.   October 17, 2005

We originally had one of the old Plus receivers and I loved it and that I could watch TV while online but it broke and I found out that they weren't making them anymore so I had to buy this classic receiver and while I do enjoy using it I can't help feeling that I downgraded. Another thing I don't care for with this basic classic receiver is the power cord, it's an adapter that you plug in an outlet or surge protector which is fine but the end that goes into the MSN TV is like a tiny earphone jack on a portatble walkman tape player and the adapter gets hot and makes a loud buzzing or humming noise if the MSN TV receiver is on for over an hour or more and I much preferred the sturdier power cord for the Plus receiver. Please someone start making the plus receivers again, I liked the plus receiver so much that I didn't mind that the monthy fee for the plus service was a little bit more than the classic service. I do like the MSNTV service though and I like that they let you have six email screen names which makes it great for members of a family to have their own email addresses. I know that 6 seperate email addresses is alot but honesly I wish that they would add more. It would be great to have at least 10 but realisticly I would be fine with just 8.

4 out of 5 stars Good!   August 24, 2005

We have computers and I know how to use them and I also have an MSN TV Internet receiver and even though we aren't doing it right now you can combine your MSN service on both your computer and MSN TV. I enjoy using the MSN TV and I actually prefer using this instead of our fritzy lap top computer. We originally had the old Web TV Plus Internet receiver and I loved using it but it was zapped by lightening and it burned out the modem and unfortunately they aren't being made anymore so I had to buy this classic model and though I still prefer the advantages of the plus receiver with getting TV updates I also like this classic receiver.
