The HC1500 can project an image up to 275 inches for a true theater experience. | True HD Images The HC1500 DLP projector projects video in a native 720p format so you get a highly detailed HD picture that looks crisp even at large sizes. It features Texas Instruments BrilliantColor, which utilizes a seven-segment color wheel and an algorithm that enables brighter mid-tones and more realistic color. The HC1500 also offers 1600 ANSI lumens of brightness and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. Depending on the size of your room, you can project the image from 40 inches to 275 inches diagonal. The HC1500 has a lamp life of 3000 hours in low mode and 2000 hours in bright mode. Pure Connection From Source to Screen The HC1500 has HDMI 1.2 and component cable connections to ensure a pure input signal from beginning to end. With 10-bit processing, the information is unsullied and the result is a pure image on the screen. Be advised that this projector (as with most projectors) does not include a tuner; to watch television, you need to provide a television signal, either through an external tuner or a cable box. Easy Set Up and Quiet Operation At just 6.5 pounds, the HC1500 is easy to transport and move around in your home theater room, and it has both vertical and horizontal digital keystone correction that makes it easy to mount on the ceiling or place on a table. The HC1500 operates at a quiet 25dBA that won't distract you while you're enjoying movies or television. A 12-volt Trigger jack allows the projector to control a compatible motorized screen. A remote control with backlit buttons is included. The HC1500 is backed by a 1-year limited parts and labor warranty, and a 90-days lamp warranty. What's in the Box HC1500 projector, AC power cable, RGB cable, RS-232C cable, remote unit with battery, light shade cover, quick start card, user's manual, and safety manual.

Great Projector! August 5, 2008 Amazing picture. Mitsubishi makes it very easy to replace bulb if there are any problems within the warranty period. Wide screen image is awesome. I have it on a standard white wall, at about 120 inches and it looks amazing. I have watched DVDs, Verizon Fios HDTV, and Xbox 360 and all look fabulous. I am about to buy the white wall paint made for projectors and can't wait to see how good that will look! Amazing projector for an amazing price.
happy with purchase July 30, 2008 So far, so good. I"m not an advanced tech user and haven't used all the features of the projector, but for simple set it up and watch movies, I'm happy. Better viewing with a screen. Good value.
Nice July 15, 2008 This is a very nice projector. I havent had any problems with it what so ever. My screen size is 7 feet 6 inches wide by 4 feet 3 inches tall. You havent played GTA 4 (XBOX 360) till youve played it like this! A++++
great product July 8, 2008 I am totally thrilled. This is my first HD device. So, for a 720P/1080i device, it meets all my expectations.
Great picture - great product July 7, 2008 My wife is great. For our anniversary, she bought me a 92 inch projection screen. I asked her, what am I supposed to do with this? She said "make an outdoor theater". Well, we do live in southern California. I consider myself an expert on consumer electronics, but had not tackled projectors So, I did a week's worth of research on them. I only required 720p and wanted to stay under $1000. I also wanted a lot of brightness and did not want to worry about lamp alignment, so a DLP seemed the right way to go. This one and the model it replaced had a very loyal following and was at the top of many reviews, so I bought it.
I hung the screen between two French doors. When I want to watch a movie, I turn my Tannoy speakers around and put them in the open French doors, carry the projector outside, hook up the HDMI to a DVD player, and run the audio to my receiver.
The HC1500 is great. Easy to set up, a lighted remote, and light-weight. It has an on screen menu that is easy to navigate and intuitive. It doesn't waste components with an LED to tell you the lamp hours, it is easily obtainable in the menus. It also has a two year warranty. This is my first Mitsubishi product, and I am very happy with it.
