 Works good, lasts a long time. October 9, 2008
Works as advertised. Easy to install and makes great use of existing hard drives that are sitting around from older computers. The only downfall I've seen on this one is that the power connector block sometimes wants to detach from the frame. It is not a big deal since you can just click it back into place. It is not a safety thing and doesn't affect the operation of the unit. The enclosure looks great and works great also. I would recommend to others without hesitation.
 Good replacement case for the money September 30, 2008
I bought this to replace a case I had with a bad connector. Installation was quick and very easy. It even came with a screwdriver to make the installation even easier. The only thing I wish was a little different would be to have the LED's on the front of the case instead of the back where the cables come out. But overall, for the money, an excellent replacement.

This would have gotten a great review from me -- works just fine overall and a good price except for two things. The unit worked fine with our setup and drive. However, we quickly realized that although we shut down the computer, the disk still seems to just spin -- all day and all night. This means that you either need to turn off the power switch of the drive manually each time you shut it down, or unplug it. Just over a month after I bought it, it stopped working. I can't yet verify that it isn't in fact the disk that stopped working (or was killed) -- but there is absolutely no sign of life from the enclosure or disk. This makes me really bummed.

this product is the worst made enclosure i have seen. it doesnt go together right, the screws are to short, but for the price i guess what can u expect; at least it works.
Great for the money September 15, 2008
After reading all the previous reviews, I was somewhat cautious about buying this product. However, the drive enclosure worked out splendidly. I had absolutely no problems with putting the hard drive into the enclosure, and once assembled and hooked up to my computer, my computer instantly recognized it.
The hard drive is not secured enough in the enclosure to travel with it, but once I put some insulation in, I'd even travel with it.
