Product Description You love the ease and convenience of digital appliances like digital cameras, audio players, camcorders and "smart" cellular phones. They're convenient and easy to use, and because data is stored on a flash media card, you're free of traditional one-time-use media. But how do you easily transfer data from the flash media card to your PC? With the portable, quick and easy-to-use FlashPath floppy disk adapter.FlashPath is an electronic device shaped like a standard 3.5-inch floppy diskette; it fits into and works from a 3.5-inch 1.44 MB floppy disk drive. FlashPath has a slot in the side that accepts flash media cards. To read data, images, audio files, and the like from your digital appliance, simply remove the flash media card from the appliance and insert it into FlashPath. Then insert FlashPath into your PC's floppy disk drive and upload the media's contents to the PC. FlashPath and a flash media card are the perfect answer when you're looking for portable, easy-to-use storage for images, audio files, data and other digital files. FlashPath and flash media cards are light and easy to carry and work interchangeably with PCs and laptops. They're easier to transport than a stack of floppy diskettes, giving you more storage capacity and greater ease of use.

SmartDisk FlashPath Floppy Disk Adapter for SmartMedia July 2, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent product. Installs quickly. Works perfectly. Drag drop photos from card to hard drive.
i hate this thing April 23, 2004 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I made trying to use this thing to get my pictures from my camera to the computer. I hate it. Not because it's inconvenient, which it is, but because it's incredibly unreliable. It rarely works, and when it does, it's only because I've babied it into working. it's an incredible hassle.
Great idea, but problem is you need a driver installed October 5, 2003 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I thought this disk would be perfect for traveling and using in internet cafes accross Asia. Unfortunately, one requires an installation program on every PC you use it on, which is a bit of a pain, especially where most cafes won't allow this to be installed. (on computers where the driver can be loaded, uou can download the driver over the internet). The disk is a great idea, but this "little" detail certainly isn't advertised clearly
For the price how can it get any easer. March 1, 2003 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a simple way to get pictures from the camera to a PC. Next time I take my camera on vacation I don't plan on bringing my laptop to offload pictures. Carry this and software can be installed at friends, relatives, etc. to copy pictures. Saves battery life of camera as well. It's a simple easy solution. I am getting a second one for my grandson to use.
Outdated and Needless February 7, 2003 This product seems like the real deal in making the use of memroy cards as easy as possible: slide memory card into adapter, slide adapter into diskette drive - you're good to go. Not so fast. First, this tiny adapter is actually a device requiring a battery, the installation of a driver and let's not forget how slow your diskette drive really is. Not that good of a deal anymore. With the price of regular USB memory card readers reaching low levels, this device is needless. Also, if you were thinking of using the adapter on Linux, you will need a driver. The one supposed driver in existence was developed 3 years ago will only install and run on a RedHat 6 distribution. I doubt you use that version and I doubt anyone needs this adapter anymore.
