BE VERY Careful - Does not work with high end Phenoms May 3, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Before purchasing the MOBO, I really did my home work. Thing is I wanted to get a nominal gaming quality MOBO for a good price.
However I did not spare and effort w.r.t. the CPU. I got me a 9850 Phenom, and it is on its way (Shipping).
Still I am reading reviews while I wait.
Then I sunk, apparently, you CANNOT use the 9850 and others with the M3a78-EMH.
[...] And like they said, the real issue of compatibility specifications were really kind of sketchy by the MOBO makers.
So now I have to go to collect my CPU (just grounded) and will not be able to use it unless I get a better MOBO.
Remember certain CPUs will work OK with the MOBO just do your research.
