Product Description Hearts break, lives shatter, and liars prevail at Bentley Manor, where everyone sins shamelessly. In the second novel from the authors of Desperate Hoodwives, four women will try to escape Bentley Manor -- a place no one has ever left unscathed... Keisha married the high school basketball star, but now Smokey's addicted to crack. Unable to feed her children, Keisha feels that she's not only hit bottom but has taken her children with her. When Smokey's brother offers to help, will it come at the ultimate price? Takiah abruptly fled her pimp husband with her baby. Desperate to start over, she finds a hiding place. Living with Grandma Cleo means returning to church -- but Takiah's salvation is the last thing on the pastor's mind... Princess is lucky to have found a ride-or-die friend in Lucky, who helps protect her from her mom's abusive ways. With a voice to rival Mary J. and Whitney, at just seventeen Princess holds a ticket out. But when Lucky is gone, will she have the courage to follow her dreams? Woo Woo has escaped the projects with her suburban husband -- the type of man every woman wants. But she can't resist sneaking back to Bentley Manor for steamy sexcapades with her drug dealer boyfriend. It's not only WooWoo who has a secret...

Excellent! October 9, 2008 This second installment was better than the first! There is always drama brewing at Bentley Manor. I felt for all the women. Especially Princess and Takiah. Did it have to end like that for Takiah?? that blew me away. and I never expected Woo Woo's secret. This was a page turner. Great book club discussion book. We're still talking about it!

Better The Second Time Around! September 23, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Meesha Mink and De'Nesha Diamond have done it again. Shameless Hoodwives, the sequel to Desperate Hoodwives, gives readers more drama straight from the Bentley Manor housing project. As always, Miz Cleo and Miz Osceola are on the scene giving bird's-eye-views of the low-down dirt going on in the housing project. Then we have Keisha, the former drug-addicted mother of four, who is helping her husband overcome his own addiction demons. Alongside her is Shakespeare, her brother-in-law, who shows in more ways than one that he is his brother's keeper.
Next on deck is Princess, the 17 year-old neglected daughter of Queen. Through all of Precious' pain, she has one blessing that may very well get her up out of Bentley Manor; her voice. But how good is success when she has no one to share it with?
WooWoo, the sister of Lexi from Desperate Hoodwives, actually made it out of Bentley. Now married to a square and living as a suburban housewife, will she be able to stay away from the Manor when her heart is still deep in the projects with Hassan?
Last, and certainly not least, is Takiah who shows up on her grandmother's, Miz Cleo, doorstep with her infant daughter. On the run from her husband/pimp/pusher, Kameron, she faces her problems head on in the unlikeliest of places. Four women destined to make it out of Bentley Manor, but is there no place like home?
Mink and Diamond spiced it up a notch with this sequel. I was more shocked, with a purpose, and emotionally invested than I remember being in the first installment. It is a quick, entertaining, though dark, read that certainly did not succumb to the sophomore slump. The characters jumped from the page and I could not help but care for them; especially Princess. The third installment, The Hood Life, is due out in January 2009 and you better believe I will be in line for the madness. I recommend Shameless Hoodwives to readers who enjoy drama-filled reads with heart tugging plots. Bentley Manor fans will definitely enjoy this.

shameless hoodwives is a must read September 20, 2008 meesha and de'nesha did the damn thing in the sequel to desperate hoodwives. part 2 finds us back in bentley manor where drama is no stranger. woowoo has finally made it of bently manor after getting married she's finally ready to leave the ghetto girl image behind but a dirty little secret keeps drawing her back in. miz cleo crack addicted grandaurgter tahkia shows up at her doorstep baby in hand on the run from her husband/pimp/dealer but what happends when the person you trust the most turns out to be the devil in disgise. princess is a young girl neglected by her mother the only good thing in her life is her best friend lucky when tragedy strikes leaving princes alone how much can one girl take before she reaches her breking point. keisha, smokey and shakespear are introduced in book 1 as the crack head, his wife, and his brothers keeper but what happeneds when love is loss and new love is found in the most unexpected place.
