Product Description A brilliant parody of the children's classic Goodnight Moon, built around the coming end of the worst presidency ever.
Goodnight Bush: An Unauthorized Parody is a hilarious and poignant visual requiem for the Bush administration. In it we see a childlike George W. Bush tucked safely away in the confines of his own room with all of the toys he's willfully destroyed, abused, or defaced. Complete with a quiet Dick Cheney whispering "hush," this bedtime story lets us finally say goodnight to the disaster that was the last eight years.

A grown up MOON August 18, 2008 The original book was her first one, a gift, for my daughter and we grew weary reading it over and over and 'finding' the hidden changes as we turned the pages engaged in the sing song lyrics. We gifted her with this parady, now a college student and we all were enthused with the depiction of the Bush years in the original style of the book. True to her youthful enthusiasm, she couldn't wait to get back to school and share it with her friends. A very interesting read!
Not that funny August 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I heard about this book and thought it would be hysterical, but only a yellow dog Democrat would see any humor in it at all. Being one of those, I did, but not as much as I thought I would. The pictures are the best part. Borrow this book from someone else, get a little chuckle.
A well thought-out parody. August 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These days, the die-hard Bush dead-enders' number has dwindled to an insignificant minority. It is not just safe but in fact profitable to speak the truth.
Although this book comes a little late to the Bush-bashing party, it is reasonably well done and I do enjoy spending two minutes flipping through it. The issues it touches upon are both broad and serious, however. I don't think my six-year-old son will get them. This is strictly for adults.

Tremendous fun, especially for anyone who has read (or listened to) "Goodnight Moon" on so many occasions that you almost know the text by heart. If you think about the subject matter too hard though, you'll get depressed.
