Fun and practical! June 5, 2008 This book with so many adorable illustrations has really motivated my children to get into the kitchen. I also find this book all over the house because they love to look at the pictures and read the character dialogs.
The Redwall Cookbook June 1, 2008 This cookbook is a delightful surprise. My eleven-year-old boy first loved the adventures in the Redwall books, but would also sometimes come and read aloud to me the descriptions of the feasts so deliciously described, and wonder if we could cook them. His love of finer foods is apparently shared by the author [who writes a forward for the book addressing this] and just as the adventure books included delicious feasts, the cookbook includes an adventure! The recipes are easy to follow; my son listed and shopped for the ingredients himself. We have been prone to invite over friends to explore with us and his contributions have made our meals much more festive! Go ahead and give it a try...fans of Redwall won't be disappointed!
Redwall Cookbook April 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son loves the Redwall series and cooking so this was a perfect match. We've tried several of the recipes and they are very tasty; especially Hare's Haversack Crumble.
Very cute book December 24, 2007 I bought this for my son who is a Redwall fan and he loves it. I thought it might be a little to young for him, he is 13, but he has been reading and looking at it ever since he got it. He has picked out several recipes to try, we haven't had time yet to make any of them but they all look very good. I am glad I purchased this item.
