Product Description POOKIE’S MOM proposes a lively dance together. Pookie, being Pookie, is somewhat hesitant to try something new. But little by little, Pookie is drawn into the dance—hopping, marching, shimmying, singing. Presented in Boynton’s captivating style, this book will thoroughly delight toddlers and their caregivers alike.

Not as good as What's Wrong Little Pookie November 11, 2008 My kids just loved the first book "What's Wrong Little Pookie" but this one they think is just ok. Hopefully she will write more of these books though I think the character is great!
The target audience seems to love it. October 29, 2008 My son loves it! Some days I'll have to do the Pookie dance for him four or five times, and any book that gets him that excited (as most of Sandra Boynton's books do) gets five stars. It's possible that he's precisely at the target age; he's not quite two and very fond of music and dancing.
Great Board Book for Toddlers October 20, 2008 I highly recommend all of the Sandra Boynton books to parents with toddlers. The illustrations are cute and simple. There is just enough text on each page to keep a 1-2 year old's attention. Boynton's books are my daughter's all time favorites.
What happened?!?!!? September 2, 2008 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
Oh, Ms. Boynton, what happened? Your first Pookie book was so cute, so clever, so insightful about little kids... and now this? The rhythm, rhyme and meter are off, and the story is totally inane. I'm disappointed on every level, and it's so much worse that this is a Pookie book and not just some other Boynton character or animal. I was so charmed by the first Pookie book, and naturally I expected so much more from his reappearance. I think the character has been devalued by this second book: What's Wrong Little Pookie may be Ms. Boyton's best book, and this is almost certainly her worst. I wish I could demand my money back.
