Product Description Game, Set, Match... Dylan? Dylan and her TV-host mom are off to Hawaii's Aloha Tennis Open. While Merri-Lee interviews tennis's wild child Svetlana "Tennis the Menace" Slootskyia, Dylan lets the tropical sun melt away the memory of getting dumped by two guys at the end of seventh grade. But between avocado mud masks and poolside naps, she falls in love with a preppy, tennis- obsessed hawtie. Dylan soon realizes the only way to score a date with him is to master the game. Can she convince moody Svetlana to spill the secrets of her tennis success, or will she end up oh-for-three in summer love?

More of the same... June 29, 2008 My daughter loves these books- I think they do not qualify as a "good" book but they are pretty harmless as long as she reads other books in between.
good June 27, 2008 the book was a good book because i play tennis and i thought it was good researched and the author used the right terms
Uhhhh NO Britney Dudas June 14, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is for Britney Dudas, After reading your review I was disgusted, in WHAT book has Dylan been potrayed as a "girly girl?" I don't consider burping and farting or jokes on the same subjects found funny by a "girly girl"
Better than Massie's June 1, 2008 I won't reveal everything, but I'm glad Dylan (sorta) lost. The plot was better than Massie's, but their POV were practically identical.
Didn't flow as well as the first Massie book, but still a great summer read. May 31, 2008 I enjoyed this book a lot. Dylan goes to Hawaii with her Mom, the talk-show host, to interview a famous tennis star and cover a tennis tournament.
Almost immediately, Dylan meets a hot guy who seems more obsessed with tennis than with girls - and Dylan sets out to rearrange his priorities.
When the bratty tennis star loses her temper at Dylan, after pledging on her Mom's show that she has changed her ways through anger-management sessions (!), Dylan blackmails her into helping Dylan get the guy.
The characters were a bit overdone and hard to believe, but it was still an enjoyable read - just harder to really fall into.
It was nice to get some insights into Dylan's character - unfortunately, there wasn't a whole lot that was truly compelling about her. She is a bit insecure and worries about her weight (at size six), and didn't really seem into much of anything beyond boys and fashion- but even those interests were more superficial than Massie's, for example.
Bottom line: good beach read, but don't bother if you aren't already a fan. (I liked Massie's a lot better!)
