Product Description
Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. His human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Brought back against his will, he became the sole defender of mankind. Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he never wants revealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence. Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both. War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

Acheron /sherrilyn kenyon August 21, 2008 this book is one great fantasty.I could not put it down once i started.all of her book are 5star.
Phew...That was some book!!!!! August 21, 2008 Incredible!! Outstanding!! Intense!! I was emotionally exhausted at the end of the book. Sherrilyn Kenyon out did herself with this one. Although the brutality with Acheron was...maybe...too much information at times...you had to feel the pain THOROUGHLY to understand what he was about. To have the other Dark Hunters show up in the end with their support of Acheron, was brilliant. I was overwhelmed with emotion at the end ot this book. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT book!!!!!
Perfect!! A Must for all Dark-Hunter fans! August 21, 2008 Asheron was a perfect book. How anyone could say that too much time was spent in the past is puzzling. All of the considerable amount of the book that is spent on Asheron's life from birth to manhood paints the complete picture of why Ash is who Ash is today. Yes, there was a lot of it. But the past does greatly influence our present, so Kenyon's attention to the details of Ash's past is wonderfully perfect.
Read this book. If you have ever read a Dark-Hunter book, you will fall in love with the Dark-Hunters and their protector, Asheron, all over again. Ms. Kenyon, keep writing the Dark-Hunter stories. With this kind of quality in your writing, you will not lack for devoted readers.
Loved It August 21, 2008 I didn't know what to expect after reading all the mixed reviews, but if you are truly a Dark Hunter fan and a fan of Acheron then don't get put off by all the negative comments. This was a great read and the only reason it took me a week was because I didn't have time to read it in one sitdown! It really didn't leave much unanswered. I was just disappointed when it finished. I wanted more. I truly enjoyed this one in the series, might even be my favorite so far. Keep up the good work Sherrilyn Kenyon, can't wait for the next one.
I didn't think I'd like it but I did! August 21, 2008 I have read all her other books and loved most of them. I was really unsure about this book when it was being discussed ahead of publishing. At first, I was put off by the fact that the 1st half of the book was backstory about Ash and that it was dark. But once I read it, I felt it really was necessary to understand him (and pretty much everyone else in her books). Once I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning to finish it. I would definitely recommend this book to dark-hunter readers and don't be put-off by the size of it (700+ pages).
