An excellent extra to have November 23, 2008 This book provides some assistance to the imagination for those that aren't too familiar with the races of the realm, and for those that just want to get a visual look to some of the great characters. I bought this for my wife, and it ended up making her to go back and read the books just so she can build a new picture of the character interactions. I highly recommend this as something to have along with you as you journey through Drizzt's life.
Readers Guide to the legend of Drizzt (Salvatore) review November 3, 2008 Its an alright book. At $25 its rather a lot for less than 200 pages.
Nice artwork. Not really essential. Good to celebrate 20 years of Drizzt.. Heres to another 20 years!!
The Drizzt books are summarized, there are little descriptions of everyone you can think of (Sydney from Streams of Silver, and so forth)
Thankfully the books still are worth reading (The Pirate King was superb I felt)
Is this book worth reading. Well sure. But you won't end up reading all of it I think. You'll glance at it a bit, curious to see what Drizzt's sister looked like, but I can't imagine anyone really being absorbed by this
Its fun to have but not really essential. If you haven't read any of the Forgotten Realms books, just pick up The Crystal Shard and keep reading!
decent addition to the Drizzt legend October 15, 2008 Does this book add anything new to the Legend of Drizzt? No, but it adds the pictures of the major personae as envisioned by the author and that is fine.
Great Guide to this Series October 1, 2008 I'm on book 17 in this Drizzt series and I enjoyed going back and looking at pictures and places that for the most part I imagined. It's great for long term fans and for those just starting...you will find great too!
The only issue I have is the picture of Montolio. I'm my minds eye he looks like the Todd Lockwood version from the cover of Sojourn!
So that is what they look like September 19, 2008 It was billed on Amazon.com to give readers a greater insight into the Legend of Drizzt. Well all it really did was give pictures of what the characters look like. Nothing really new.
