Product Description
This exhaustive presentation of the findings from the China Study conclusively demonstrates the link between nutrition and heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. Referred to as the "Grand Prix of epidemiology" by The New York Times, this study examines more than 350 variables of health and nutrition with surveys from 6,500 adults in 65 counties, representing 2,500 counties across rural China and Taiwan. While revealing that proper nutrition can have a dramatic effect on reducing and reversing these ailments as well as obesity, this text calls into question the practices of many of the current dietary programs, such as the Atkins diet, that enjoy widespread popularity in the West. The impact of the politics of nutrition and the efforts of special interest groups on the creation and dissemination of public information on nutrition are also discussed.

a must read August 30, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
well written, absolutely excellent research and convincing arguments backed with study after study. Everyone should read this book, regardless of present health condition. However if one is suffering from any of the major diseases or ailments prevalent in this society, this book should be mandatory!!
Content and presentation are both amazing August 28, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The China Study: The Most Comprehensive Study of Nutrition Ever Conducted and the Startling Implications for Diet, Weight Loss and Long-term Health This book has life-changing information. But don't let the fact that it is a description of many studies be a deterrent to reading it: the book is written in an extraordinarily readable style.

Amazing Book! August 24, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book will blow you away! I was shocked at what I thought was healthy to eat but isn't. Very eye opening. The person who wrote the negative review and directed you to this website http://www.westonaprice.org/bookreviews/chinastudy.html. Does not have a brain. The credentials of the person who wrote this Anti-China Study article has a BS degree in History. I Don't think I am going to listen to him over a doctor who has spent most of his life researching this data. Be careful which reviews you read and who is writing them. The China Study is very scientific and trustworthy.
Great Book August 24, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
The China Study is a wonderful book. It is all about nutrition and now we should eat and not eat. I haven't finished it yet, but it is fascinating. A friend recommended it and I highly recommend it to anyone that is wanting to better their health through natural processes and natural foods. It is a real eye opener!!!
