Fast September 18, 2008 This product came in plastic wrap, so I knew it was brand new. It was shipped on time.
Wong is great Peds resource September 7, 2008 I enjoy reading this book, a lot more so than other nursing books. It's a great resource for learning about Peds, also the workbook (separate) is an essential!
A valuable clinical nursing reference July 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my wife who is a paediatric nurse. It was a prescribed textbook for the university and hospital based course. It is very comprehensive resource for the nursing professional who seeks to know all there is to know about their patients. If there is one criticism (and it is a minor one) it is that this textbook is American-centric. Many of the measurements reflect this, and it would be nice if some of them included the metric equivalent. We have yet to utilise the CD that came with the book although judging by the contents (a list is included in the book as well as extensive "links"), it will be an oft-referenced item in our library.
Depth and breadth February 28, 2008 I am a BS-RN student just starting my Pedi class. This is my favorite text yet. There is plenty of detail, and references are cited within the text. I think it's much easier to learn and retain information if you know the "why" behind the "what", and this text doesn't just gloss over the physiological reasons for nursing interventions like a lot of nursing texts unfortunately do. Thanks Dr. Hockenberry and Mr. Wilson for a great book!
Great buy January 10, 2008 Brand new at a used price value. New in plastic wrap, no markings like it was described by seller. Very satisfied with purchase
