I'm His Biggest Fan! May 23, 2008 Finally, all the Edgar Cayce books in one place! I love this guy - he gets all his info while in a sleep-like trance, doesn't remember a thing, but puts together brilliant concoctions that rival the most cutting edge remedies in the holistic and medical field today! I cured my acne by drinking his special coca-cola formula - it sure beat Acutane!

Edgar Cayce-Prophecies July 28, 2007 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
The book is an excellent plunge for readers thrilled with alternative notions of the future. For instance, Cayce predicts that America's West Coast may be Nebraska circa 2100. He talked of great social and political upheavels between 1968 and 1998. We know from current history that this came to pass. Edgar Cayce felt that "Americans must go to other lands and carry cooperation with them." He spoke of a Great Crystal which would harness solar energy. He made projections of great disturbances in Western USA, Eastern NYS, Northern Europe, Japan, Arctic and Antartic.
Similarities were found between Egypt and Central American pyramidal structures. In addition, the day would come when Greenland and Antarctica would be without glaciers. The poles would become warmer and the Great Lakes would empty into the Gulf of Mexico. New land would appear in the Atlantic and Pacific while oceans and bays would evolve where there is now land.
Some of these predictions and impressions are quite frightening. I think that we dismiss these impressions at our own great peril. The presentation forces us to examine life on earth with more care as we enter into the future.
Spiritualism and skepticism January 4, 2007 6 out of 13 found this review helpful
Very difficult to follow. Nevertheless, I read the entire book. I kept reading hoping to find "where's the beef". Never did. My suspicion is that the difficulty in reading the book is necessary in the eyes of the author in order to disguise what otherwise would be dismissed as nonsense. In a non-fiction book, that's dishonest. My conclusion: another huckster out to make a buck. If there were an honest message in the book, someone should re-write it with the aim of making it clear and simple. Spiritualism should not depend on obfuscation and other slight of hand.
Best Buy on Cayce! August 28, 2006 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This book takes individual readings given over the long term of his "sleeping prophet" career, and arranges them into readable books. Four seperate books are included in this single volume. Without any doubt, this one will give anyone a superb background of his work and ideas, as well as his devotion and personal devotion to Christianity. Definitely well worth the price! Excellent read!

Edgar Cayce is the most documented American mystic. I have found answers to just about any health, life, and spiritual issues from the readings that came from this mysterious man ... including how to eliminate acne! The information works! This book is thick... a very good buy for the amount of information provided here. If you don't know much about Cayce, read "There is a River" from cover to cover, and read it with an open mind. Don't ask how he got that way... just like we don't ask how Jesus got that way. According to Cayce, (and even Jesus), we are all inherently 'this' way... (remember Jesus' statement "greater than these things shall you do...").
