| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description In a time when the prospect of peace seems impossibly far away, The Peace Journal offers a much-needed focal point of inspiration and hope. With uplifting quotes from the great workers for peace who walk among us (and who have come before), The Peace Journal invites you, the reader, to write your own dreams and plans towards this most precious goal. We are not here for despair, says Nelson Mandela, one of the wise ones you will meet on these pages. Includes a ribbon and ruled, blank pages for journal entries.

Far More than Just a Journal... November 30, 2008 I usually review wildlife/environmental books, but I just have to add my comments here about The Peace Journal, a very special book. As a journal it is inviting and beautifully designed. But its real value to me is contained in the quotes that the editors chose to include. Each turn of a page brings a new thought, a fresh way to think about the subject of peace and all that that word encompasses. It truly is an inspiring book, the kind you like to pick up and open at random, knowing that you're going to feel better for doing it. I've already told my local independent bookstore to keep a number on hand because I'm telling lots of people to go out and buy one...whether or not they "journal." It's just a terrific book to have on the nightstand.
The Perfect Journal for These Times November 26, 2008 The Peace Journal is a gem! I just received my copy as a gift from a friend and now I find myself journaling alongside dozens of beautifully chosen messages from Nobel laureates and others whose hearts are devoted to peace - from all the world's great religions and from every corner of the world.
I have had other journals, and seen many others - but this is by far the most helpful companion for the uncertain times we're living in. It invites exploration and the sharing of thoughts, starting with Walt Whitman's pithy, "Peace is always beautiful," and ending with Mechthild of Magdeburg's, "The soul is made of love and must ever strive to return to love." (With even a bit of whimsy from John Lennon somewhere in the middle.) This is a great gift for any occasion. Not only is it a work of high quality inside and out, but the price is very reasonable as well. I'm telling all my friends about it. Who couldn't use a bit of inspiration and encouragement about now!
A gift to your self November 14, 2008 At first, this bound diary appears like a sweet little gift for giving. It then presents, through the voices of many of the great philosophers, religious leaders, artists and authors, a challenge to one self. As a fill-in-the-date diary, one can begin at any time, first listening to these lasting quotes, and then applying the message to the day before you, or the day that has just completed. Taken this way, the Peace Journal can take your outlook and your life to a new level, potentially transformational, if one genuinely takes to heart the higher message of being human, and applies it to their own life. The Peace Journal is a Gift-and a must-have!!! October 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Thank you to the editors who compiled this lovely book: The Peace Journal. Perhaps we have read or heard before, the words of the people quoted in this little gem, but, for me, it fills my heard with Love and Hope, to be reminded one more time that we are ALL on this planet for a purpose and that we must continue to strive for the basic premises that can make our world the beautiful place that we want it to be-for our family of mankind-Today, as well as for the Future. The Peace Journal is a Gift to yourself and to your loved-ones-to inspire and to remind us that we must continue to keep The Faith.
