Product Description It's no longer necessary to stand in line for a table at T.G.I. Friday's or Red Lobster. You can make the menu items you love right at home - with ingredients from your local supermarket. In this unique cookbook Todd Wilbur re-creates more than 100 signature dishes from America's most popular chain restaurants - including such hot theme eateries as the Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and Dive!. Wilbur's easy-to-make knockoffs, the products of years of research, are indiscernible from the originals - and the most ingenious way we know of to cut down on the cost of eating out. But watch out, once you start cooking, people may start calling for reservations at your dinner table! Here are some of the best-kept restaurant secrets that let you eat in with the great taste of eating out: Outback Steakhouse Bloomin' Onion, Chili's Fajitas for Two, Tony Roma's World Famous Ribs, T.G.I. Friday's Potato Skins, Pizza Hut Original Stuffed Crust Pizza, and Sizzler Southern Fried Shrimp. Plus you'll find out the fascinating history of each restaurant and loads of food lore...including how ice cream sundaes got their name. The perfect cookbook for everyone who loves to eat out.
Amazon.com Review Long before scientists in Scotland cloned Dolly the sheep, Todd Wilbur was hard at work replicating recipes from some of America's favorite restaurant chains. Armed with Ziploc bags for transporting leftovers and plenty of questions for his servers, Wilbur has combined the skills of a private eye and a research scientist to devise the tasty clones included in Top Secret Restaurant Recipes. Wilbur honed his technique on convenience food, creating exact duplicates of everything from a Big Mac to a Twinkie; in this book, however, he sets his sights on slightly more sophisticated fare. Within these pages you'll find sure-fire recipes for such chain favorites as Hard Rock Cafe's Famous Baby Rock Watermelon Ribs, Cheese Blintzes from the International House of Pancakes, and The Olive Garden's Hot Artichoke-Spinach Dip. Denny's, Shoney's, The Cheesecake Factory, and Pizza Hut are just a few of the many chain restaurants from which popular menu items have been "cloned." So the next time you have a hankering for Tony Roma's World Famous Ribs or a slice of Red Robin's Mountain High Mud Pie, don't bother to go out--instead, eat in with Top Secret Restaurant Recipes.

The most loved Cookbook of my house March 3, 2010 Heather Baskerville (WI) I remember exactly where I was and what year it was when I first came upon this book. It was August of 2001 and it was in front of a wells fargo bank (the kind that is in a big office building) there was a sidewalk book sale and this book was sitting there in all it's glory. I bought it and brought it home. From these books I have made the Planet Hollywoods Crunch chicken, jalepeno poppers, pizza hut pizza, Bloomin onion with the dip. And so many others. These cookbooks are the most tabbed. My copy burned in a fire and I just bought his new book yesterday. My 13 year old Autistic son whom was expecting a expensive video game that I did not buy him assumed that the book was for him and was OVERJOYED. For kids it is fabulous to say tonight we are having Big Mac's or Tony Roma's ribs. Or olive garden food. They really believe you can make it at home and are excited. And it is way cheaper. Tomorrow I am making Chilis molten cake... Only three ingrediants and the recipe is free with a video demo on his website.
book I purchased February 23, 2010 R. Fuller (Springville,UT USA) this was in great shape as advertised, and I am very pleased with the purchase.
Love This Book January 17, 2010 Carmella DiDomenico (Oviedo FL.) The book arrived earlier than expected. I am already using it. I would order from them again.
awesome December 28, 2009 J Gocha (Revere, Mass.) I bought this book when my daughter had her wisdom teeth out and could only eat soft foods. One of the foods she wanted was The Cheescake Factory Pumpkin Cheesecake. I saw this recipe in the book so I bought it as sort of a joke. Well she loved it. It contains tons of great recipes from restaurants that she goes to.Some of these recipes do look a little complicated but they all come with detailed instructions. If you like to eat out and like to cook, this book is for you.
Great recipe book. Lots of keepers December 3, 2009 Amy in Atlanta (Atlanta, GA) I bought this book several years ago and use it often. I love to cook and this one has some great recipes. A few of my favorites are the salmon bourbon marinade, the Chilis marinade, the spinach artichoke dip recipe and the bbq ribs. So many good ones. This is my favorite of his cookbooks.
