Lavender scent liquid soap April 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
They started to use this soap in the bathroom at work and I was a little skeptical, since the last soap (different brand and scent) made me nauseous. But I was very pleasantly surprised at the true lavender scent. I was worried that it would have a bit of a chemical "after smell" but it didn't. In fact, I would go wash my hands after a stressful moment, just to enjoy the lavender. I enjoy this soap so much, that I came here looking to see where I could buy it! It seems a bit expensive, but since it does smell wonderful, I will probably just splurge. As a previous review noted, it is a bit drying, but again, the scent is really why I was using it. Do they make a hand creme? They really should.
Really, really like this soap May 17, 2007 The shea butter soap is just wonderful. The bottle soap smells fabulous, and it is the most soothing soap I have ever used on my hands.
I also use the bar soap in the shower, and it not only feels extra soothing and smooth, but it has lots of suds. I have shopped everywhere to find these, and Amazon seems to be the only place they are available.
Fairly Good Looks July 29, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
A product that's too sexy for its own good, the cute bottle and contents raise your expectations. Although it works very well, this leaves a slightly dry, almost harsh feeling compared to its competitors (see Alba botanicals, for example). This was puzzling given the natural ingredients, perhaps you should only use a few drops. The scent is very faint, which may or may not be a good thing. I'd give it a try, as your experience may be different, and you can always refill the container with something else if you don't like the feeling after using it.
That bottle has a vague sense of belonging to some other era, but a little more metal would have helped a lot (although undoubtedly raising the price) and the soap's honey amber color (apparently natural) looks homey, like a favorite aunt's recipe of oils and crushed flowers. Really, it adds a touch of homegrown savoir faire to the kitchen or bath, a certain je ne sais pas ("I don't know," roughly) that speaks to your flair for casual good taste. Some might say that it's represents a petit bourgeouis (my French is a little rusty) aesthetic, but, to paraphrase, a rustic lifestyle ain't easy in the city.
