Amazon.com Product Reviews
The Fisher-Price Private Connection monitor has all the necessary features, and has them packaged and presented in an intuitive way. First, the receiver is not oversized or bulky, and the liquid crystal display (LCD) is large clear. It shows battery level, channel, volume, and range. The five-LED (light-emitting diode) display shows the sound level when you have the volume turned down. The dual receivers are rechargeable, and while it might not be as cheap as alkaline battery-powered monitors, you should end up spending less in the long run. The transmitter is small and discreet. It has 10 channels like a walkie-talkie for more privacy. It uses a 900 MHz frequency that is less crowded than the traditional 46 MHz frequency used by most baby monitors and cheaper walkie-talkies. With the Fisher-Price Private Connection you get great range and clarity without interference from your other electronics, or potential crossover from someone else's devices. --Scott Teal

Quite Satisfied OK December 27, 2008 Works very well and allows the owner to choose between different channels to reduce inteference. I would suggest a squelch button but that is not a big deal as the sound is much more clear and with much less static noise than the previous two Fisher Price monitors my parents were using.
Loud noise December 16, 2008 This monitor worked ok at first but it has increasingly gotten louder and louder in terms of static. It started out that it had to sit in a few certain places around the house and it would be ok but now nowhere we sit it is it ok! My mom got one too for when she baby sits and one of her receivers completely stopped working and the one that does is doing the same thing. I would not recommend this if you want to use them longer than 1 year. My son is 14 months and I am getting a new one.
Continuous breakage December 15, 2008 After 2 months, our base unit quit working, so we bought a new full set, giving us 1 base unit and 4 parent units. Then, over the next few months, some of the parent units stopped working as well until we were back down to 2 parent units. Now, 2 years later, the last 2 parents units are starting to break as well, and will just turn themselves off in the middle of the night. I definitely don't recommend these monitors!
Do not buy! October 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We were thoroughly unimpressed with this monitor. Its static wasn't just the white noise kind but like interference from a walkie talkie, so we'd lie awake waiting for the next loud crackle. Not only that, at full volume we could barely hear our baby! The manual changing of the channels on both the receiver and monitor was equally annoying. We just bought a Safety 1st DECT monitor and so far it seems to be far superior.
Would not recommend September 15, 2008 The receivers are good; sound quality is good, and I like how the receivers and rechargable and last for about eight hours or so without a charge. However, I have owned this product for about 7 months and the monitor base isn't working so well. It doesn't want to turn on. I don't think it will make through the year. It's hard to find something that actually lasts.
