Amazon.com Product Reviews

If you're not reluctant to give in to the obvious, the Fisher-Price Think Pink bouncer will reward your decision. The light pink, pink stripes, and pink flowers are cutesy without being cloying, but the real proof is that it works. Place baby in the deluxe padded seat, buckle the padded three-point harness, and bounce away. The soft, removable toy bar holds two satin-winged--and removable--ladybugs, and in the center is a flower that plays music when pulled. The pink pillow is soft and snuggly and adjusts as baby grows. If you get tired of bouncing baby, push the button for the gentle vibration mode, and baby will drift into la-la-land. This requires a D battery (not included), and recommended for infants birth and up with a maximum weight of 25 pounds. --Scott Teal

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!   December 24, 2008
My daugther loves this product. It is very easy to put together. I put it together in under 20 minutes with the baby and my two yr old right by me so there were plenty of distractions. It doesnt sit up to high or to low, it is just right for a little baby. The toys are fun for her to grab at. The vibrating isn't to hard like some of the other ones. The every once in a while sleeps in it, so it is apparently comfortable. I also like the way the head support comes off when the baby doesnt need it anymore. The strap that hold the support velcros to the back underside so it doesnt just hang there like another one that I have. Overall it is a great product and I would reccomennd it.

5 out of 5 stars Lifesaver   November 22, 2008
This bouncer was a lifesaver. Our baby always loved it, great soother and wonderful for when we were eating. Not too bad to assemble, and pretty easy on batteries overall or just needed a few moments. We even let her sleep at night in this when she having issues in the crib. We also had the papasan, but it's not too portable, so we would also take this on trips. Someone bought us the Boppy swing, our baby liked this much better, and easier to get her in and out, probably just preference. Definately recommend this for any new parents, can't beat it for price and function.

5 out of 5 stars loved this product!   November 10, 2008
I love this bouncer! After my daughter was born she was pretty fussy the first three months due to digestive problems. The vibrate feature really helped soothe her tummy, and it was a needed break after pacing the floor for hours! As she got older she just had tons of fun bouncing in it and even learned how to pull the flower to make it sing; she was so pleased :)

5 out of 5 stars A must have   October 2, 2008
This bouncer is simply great, the one item I would definitely recommend to new moms. Ok, it's VERY pink and the toys could be better, but it still saved me many times. It was about the only place where my daughter would stay quiet, other than in my arms. I've used it since we came home from the hospital, and now it's starting to look a bit too small for her (she's 5 months now).

With the arch on it's a bit difficult to put her in, as the handle hangs very low, but it's no big deal and it can't be designed differently as the child has to reach it after all!
The vibrating unit should be lower, or padded, as it's right under baby's heels and kicking it can cause some soreness.

Anyway, we love it and we'll definitely buy a similar non-pink one if next baby is a boy!

2 out of 5 stars You may want to "think again" on purchasing this "think pink" bouncer   August 18, 2008

We received this bouncer as a gift for our 3rd child - finally a girl! While it is definitely pink and girly, it is lacking in other areas.

First, it is not very comfortable or cushiony for the baby. The only part that is cushiony is the cushion head rest. The seat is just too deep for newborns. We used this from day one with our baby and even when buckled in, she would fall to one side or another when we'd place her in it. Her face would be pressed up again the sides. We tried this with and without the headrest, but it didn't seem to matter either way. She is now 8 weeks old and is finally able to center herself so she won't slide to the sides.

Second, the musical flower on the toy bar is terrible! It is made of hard plastic (we're constantly trying to avoid hitting her head on it). The song that it plays is very annoying and digital sounding. It also doesn't play for very long (just a matter of seconds), though maybe that's not such a bad thing since it isn't very pleasant sounding. I just wish they had put several songs on it and had it last longer. Personally, I would have rather the music options been a button at the bottom with the vibration and the flower to light up when pulled, but I don't work for FP and they didn't ask me. :) The two little crinkly ladybugs are cute and my daughter is starting to smile at them when she sees them. I like that they are velcroed on, so they can be changed up with other velcro toys from other play sets you might have. Unfortunatley, the plastic flower cannot be removed.

Third, the toy bar is stabilized (though it can be removed), it doesn't fold back like some other bouncy seats do. It is a little of a nuisance to have to remove the toy bar (and find a spot to put it) each time you need to get the baby in or out of the seat. If you are like me, you don't bother taking it off and will just slide the baby in and out from the top or the bottom. Watch out for baby's head, though, and that awful plastic flower!

Overall, I was rather disappointed with this bouncy seat. While it may be better for older babies, if you are planning on using this for a newborn then you may want to consider another brand.
