Fisher-Price has managed to combine the cozy comfort of their Papasan infant seats with the functionality of a cradle swing. Strap baby into the swing with the padded three point harness. The two reclining positions allow for playtime or naptime. When it's time for play, clip on the snack tray with bead bars and play eight different happy tunes while the star mobile bobs up and down and around. When it's time for rest, remove the snack tray and start the swinging. The soothing six-speed cradle swing will rock in the traditional fashion from left to right, or spin the cradle 90 degrees and it will rock front to back. Eight new lullabies will play and the cradle projects a spinning star-scape onto the canopy to have baby minutes from slumber. The nicest feature is that it allows for any iteration of motion, music, and mobile movement. It can be plugged in or run on four D batteries (it is recommended using AC power). The seat pad is removable and machine-washable, and the recommended age is birth and up with a maximum of 25 pounds. --Scott Teal

Simply wonderful January 8, 2009 We were given this as a shower gift for out little boy. Fantastic. It can sooth, lullaby, and keep our baby calm almost whenever you need him to. Wonderful!!!
Glad we bought this January 6, 2009 Great product. We have a two-month old who usually wants to be held, sometimes for hours. Now we put her in the swing and she's happy there most of the time. She can sleep and play in it. It's a sturdy product with many great features.
The only drawback is that it seems to go through batteries pretty quickly. We've had the swing for less than a month and the batteries are dying. It would have been nice to be able to plug it in to a power outlet.
Great for some hands free time! December 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I finally broke down and bought this for my son a few weeks ago when he was a little over a month old. When he is in a good mood he loves to stare at the mirror and the rotating mobile. It can keep him happy for about 20 minutes and he will sometimes fall asleep in it. After weeks of constantly holding him it can be very helpful for some hands free time to do things like make dinner etc. However, it's not a miracle swing because if he is grumpy he is unlikely to stop crying just because he is in the swing ;) Still, I would recommend it. I haven't had to replace the D batteries yet and we've used it quite a bit. There is a noise associated with the rocking/motor but it isn't that loud and is overpowered by the music/noises if you turn it up. I like all the options for music/noise. I think he likes the music choice best but the crickets etc. are a nice alternative.
My baby stays calm December 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My baby loves this swing. We've been using it since he was born. This frees me up during the day to get chores done and I love this product. The only con is that the motor is not silent, like some previous reviewers noted. It makes a creaking/clunking sound- almost like a moving train. But, then again, that seems to calm the baby and help him sleep. I highly recommend this swing.
Baby loves it too much December 28, 2008 This swing has been a godsend for our colicky one. It was the only way she'd sleep outside our arms for the first few months. The only problem now is she's 4.5 months and won't sleep anywhere else! Also, I wish this swing had an a/c adaptor. Luckily we use rechargeable batteries, but when they run out in the middle of the night it can be a real pain. I only wish Fisher price would make a larger one b/c I'm not sure how she'll sleep once she outgrows this.
